أَيُّWhatحَالٍconditionكَوْنهُمْof them beingفِيinالْجَنَّةِParadiseقَالَsaidرَسُولُthe Messengerاللَّهِof Allahﷺ
What is their condition being in Paradise, said the Messenger of Allah ﷺ:
«“إِذَاwhenدَخَلَenterأَهْلُthe peopleالْجَنَّةِof ParadiseالْجَنَّةِParadise,يَقُولُHe saysاللَّهُAllahتَبَارَكَBlessedوَتَعَالَىand Exalted:
“When the people of Paradise enter Paradise, Allah Blessed and Exalted says:
أَتُرِيدُونَDo you wantشَيْئًاsomethingأَزِيدَmoreلَكُمْfor youفَيَقُولُونَthey sayأَلَمْDid notتُبَيِّضْmake whiteوُجُوهَنَاour facesأَلَمْDid notتُدْخِلْنَاadmit usالْجَنَّةَParadiseوَتُنَجِّنَاand save usمِنَfromالنَّارِthe FireفَيَقُولُHe saysبَلَىYes
‘Do you want something more for you?’ They say, ‘Did You not make our faces white? Did You not admit us to Paradise and save us from the Fire?’ He says, ‘Yes.’
قَالَsaidعَلَيْهِupon himالسَّلاَمُpeaceفَيَكْشِفُand He uncoversالْحِجَابَthe veilفَيَنْظُرُونَand they lookإِلَىtoوَجْهِthe faceاللَّهِof AllahتَعَالَىExalted.
He said upon him peace, and He uncovers the veil, and they look at the face of Allah Exalted.
فَمَاAnd nothingأُعْطُواwas given to themشَيْئًاsomethingأَحَبَّmore belovedإِلَيْهِمto them thanمِنَthanالنَّظَرِthe sightإِلَىatرَبِّهِمtheir LordثُمَّThenتَلَاrecitedعَلَيْهِupon himالسَّلاَمُpeace:«لِلَّذِينَ‘For those whoأَحْسَنُواdo goodالْحُسْنَىthe best rewardوَزِيَادَةٌ»and more.’(بِلَا(withoutتَشْبِيهٍsimilarityوَلَاand notكَيْفِيَّةٍ)how.)خِلَافًاContraryلِلْمُشَبِّهَةِto the likenersوَالْمُجَسِّمَةِand the corporealists.
And nothing was given to them more beloved than the sight of their Lord. Then he recited upon him peace: ‘For those who do good, they will have the best reward and more.’ (Without similarity or how.) Contrary to the likeners and the corporealists.
وَلَاAnd notيَكُونَthere isبَيْنَهُbetween Himوَبَيْنَand betweenخَلْقِهِHis creationمَسَافَةٌa distanceحِينَwhenيَرَوْنَهُthey see HimوَالْمَسَافَةُAnd the distanceفِيinاللُّغَةِthe languageالْبُعْدُis the distanceوَالْمُرَادُand intendedبِهَاby itهَهُنَاhereالْجِهَةُthe directionوَالْمَكَانُand the placeوَالْمُقَابَلَةُand the facing
And there is not a distance between Him and His creation when they see Him. And the distance in the language is the distance, and what is intended by it here is the direction, the place, and the facing.

بَحْثٌResearchفِيinالرُّؤْيَةِthe visionأَنَّthatرُؤْيَةَthe visionاللَّهِof AllahتَعَالَىExaltedبِالْأَبْصَارِwith the eyesفِيinالْآخِرَةِthe Hereafterحَقٌّis trueمَعْلُومٌknownثَابِتٌestablishedبِالنَّصِّby the textلَاnotبِالْعَقْلِby the mindلَأَنَّهَاbecause it isمِنَofالْمُتَشَابِهَاتِthe ambiguousوَصْفًاin description
Research that the vision of Allah Exalted with the eyes in the Hereafter is true, known, established by the text, not by the mind, because it is among the ambiguous in description.
قَالَsaidفَخْرُThe prideالإِسْلَامِof IslamعَلِيٌّAliالْبَزْدَوِيُّal-Bazdawiرَحِمَهُmay he have mercyاللَّهُAllahتَعَالَىExaltedفِيinأُصُولِthe principlesالْفِقْهِof jurisprudenceمِثَالٌan exampleالْمُتَشَابِهُof the ambiguousفِيinإِثْبَاتِestablishingرُؤْيَةِthe visionاللَّهِof AllahتَعَالَىExaltedبِالْأَبْصَارِwith the eyesعَيَانًاopenlyحَقًّاtrulyفِيinالْدَّارِthe abodeالْآخِرَةِthe Hereafterبِنَصٍّby the textالْقُرْآنِthe Quranبِقَوْلِهِin His sayingالْقِيَامَةِthe Resurrectionحَقٌّtruthوَحَوْضَand the Poolالنَّبِيِّof the Prophetعَلَيْهِupon himالصَّلَواتِthe prayersوَالسَّلاَمِand peaceحَقٌّtruthوَالْقِصَاصُand the retributionفِيمَاin whatبَيْنَbetweenالْخُصُومِthe opponentsبِالْحَسَنَاتِwith good deedsيَوْمَdayالْقِيَامَةِof the Resurrectionحَقٌّis trueوَإِنAnd if
The pride of Islam, Ali al-Bazdawi, may Allah have mercy on him, said in the principles of jurisprudence an example of the ambiguous in establishing the vision of Allah Exalted with the eyes openly, truly in the abode of the Hereafter by the text of the Quran, in His saying: ‘The Resurrection is true and the Pool of the Prophet ﷺ is true, and the retribution among the opponents with good deeds on the day of Resurrection is true.’
