رَسُولُMessengerاللَّهِAllah::«“إِذَاIfرَأَيْتَyou seeاللَّهَAllahتَعَالَىthe Most Highيُعْطِيgivesالْعَبْدَthe servantمَاwhatيُحِبُّhe lovesوَهُوَand he isمُقِيمٌpersistingعَلَىinمَعْصِيَةٍdisobedienceفَإِنَّمَاthen that is onlyذَلِكَthatمِنْهُfrom Himاَسْتِدْرَاجٌdeception»”
The Messenger of Allah said: "If you see Allah the Most High giving the servant what he loves while he is persisting in disobedience, then that is only deception from Him."
(وَكَانَ(And AllahاللَّهُAllahتَعَالَىthe Most Highخَالِقًاthe Creatorقَبْلَbeforeأَنْtoيَخْلُقَcreateوَرَازِقًاand the Providerقَبْلَbeforeأَنْtoيَرْزُقَprovide sustenanceرَكَّرَthe Imam repeatedالإِمَامُthe Imamالأَعْظَمُthe Greatestهَذَاthisالكَلَامُsayingلِلْتَّأْكِيدِfor emphasisأَيْthat isوَكَانَandاللَّهُAllahتَعَالَىthe Most Highخَالِقًاthe Creatorقَبْلَbeforeوُجُودِthe existenceالمَخْلُوقَاتِ،of the creatures,وَرَازِقًاand the Providerقَبْلَbeforeوُجُودِthe existenceالمَرْزُوقِينَ،of the recipients,قَادِرًاthe Ableقَبْلَbeforeوُجُودِthe existenceالمَقْدُورَاتِ،of the things that can be done,قَاهِرًاthe All-Prevailingقَبْلَbeforeوُجُودِthe existenceالمَقهُورَاتِ،of that which is overpowered,رَاحِمًاthe Mercifulقَبْلَbeforeوُجُودِthe existenceالْمَرْحُومِينَ،of those who are shown mercy,نَandمَعْبُودًاthe Object of Worshipقَبْلَbeforeوُجُودِthe existenceالعَابِدِينَof the worshippers,مُجِيبًا،the Responsive One,قَبْلَbeforeوُجُودِthe existenceالسَّائِلِينَof those who inquire,غَنِيًّاthe Self-Sufficientقَبْلَbeforeوُجُودِthe existenceالسَّمَاوَاتِthe heavensوَالْأَرْضِينَ،and the earth.مَالِكًاthe Ownerقَبْلَbeforeوُجُودِthe existenceالْمَمْلَكَةِthe kingdomوَالْمَمْلُوكِينَ،and the owned,بَاقِيًّاthe Everlastingبَعْدَafterفَنَاءِthe annihilationالْخَلْقِof creationأَجْمَعِينَaltogether.)
(And Allah the Most High was the Creator before He created and the Provider before He provided. The Greatest Imam repeated this saying for emphasis, that Allah the Most High was the Creator before the existence of creation, the Provider before the existence of the provided, the Able before the existence of the able, the All-Prevailing before the existence of the overpowered, the Merciful before the existence of those who are shown mercy, the Object of Worship before the existence of the worshippers, the Responsive One before the existence of the inquirers, the Self-Sufficient before the existence of the heavens and the earth, the Owner before the existence of the kingdom and the owned, the Everlasting after the annihilation of all creation altogether.
(وَاللَّهُ(And Allahتَعَالَىthe Most Highيَرَىseesعَلَىin the form ofصِيغَةِthe formالْمَجْهُولof the unknown(فِي(inالْآخِرَةِ)the Hereafter)صِفَةِthe attributeالدَّارِof the Homeبِدَلِيلِwith evidenceقَوْلِهِHis sayingتَعَالَىthe Most High::«“تِلْكَThatالدَّارُHomeالْآخِرَةِof the Hereafter»”تَأْنِيثٌFeminineالْآخَرُthe otherالَّذِيthat whichهُوَisنَقِيضٌthe oppositeالْأَوَّلُthe firstوَإِنَّمَاand it is onlyسُمِّيَتْit is calledبِالْآخِرَةِthe Hereafterلِتَأَخُّرِهَاfor its latenessعَنْfromالدُّنْيَاthe worldly lifeوَهُوَand it isمِنْofالصِّفَاتِthe attributesالَّتِيwhichغَلَبَتْoverwhelmedعَلَيْهَاupon itالإِسْمِيَّةِthe namingوَكَذَلِكَand similarlyالدُّنْيَاthe worldly lifeوَإِنَّمَاand it is onlyسُمِّيَتْit is namedبِالدُّنْيَاthe worldly lifeلِدُنُوِّهَاfor its nearnessوَقُرْبِهَاand closenessعَنْfromالْآخِرَةِthe Hereafter(وَيَرَاهُ(and they see Himوَهُمْwhile theyفِيinالْجَنَّةِParadiseبِأَعْيُنِwith their eyesرُؤُوسِهِمْ)their heads)
(And Allah the Most High is seen in the form of the unknown (in the Hereafter), the attribute of the Home is evidenced by His saying: "That is the Home of Hereafter". The feminine of the other, which is the opposite of the first; it is called the Hereafter for its lateness from the worldly life. It is one of the attributes which has overwhelmed the naming. Likewise, the worldly life is called the worldly life for its nearness and closeness from the Hereafter. (And they see Him with their eyes while they are in Paradise) their heads.
حَالُconditionمَنْofفَاعِلٍthe doerيَرَىseesالْمُؤْمِنُونَthe believersعَلَيْهِupon himالصَّلَاةُthe prayerوَالسَّلَامُand peaceلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَfor the believersالْمُذْنِبِينَthe sinnersوَلِأَهْلِand for the peopleالْكَبَائِرِof the major sinsمِنْهُمْof themالْمُسْتَوْجِبِينَwho deserveالْعِقَابَthe punishmentحَقٌّthe truthثَابِتٌestablishedوَزْنُand the weighingالْأَعْمَالِof the deedsبِالْمِيزَانِby the scaleيَوْمَon the day
The condition of the doer who sees the believers upon him prayer and peace for the believers who are sinners and for the people of the major sins among them who deserve the punishment is an established truth, and the weighing of deeds by the scale on the Day.
