تَعَالَىExaltedإذْforلَاnotيُشْبِهُresemblesصِفَاتُattributesالْخَلْقِof the creationكَمَاasلَاnotيُشْبِهُresemblesذَاتَهُHis essenceذَواتُessencesالْخَلْقِof the creation
Exalted is He, for none of His attributes resemble the attributes of creation, just as His essence does not resemble the essences of creation.
يَعْلَمُHe knowsاللَّهُAllahتَعَالَىExaltedالْمَعْدُومَthe nonexistentفِيinحَالِstateعَدَمٍnonexistenceمَعْدُومًاas nonexistent
Allah, Exalted, knows the nonexistent in its state of nonexistence as nonexistent.
وَيَعْلَمُAnd He knowsأَنَّهُthat Heكَيْفَhowيَكُونُit isفَنَاؤُهُHis annihilationوَيَعْلَمُAnd He knowsاللَّهُAllahالْقَائِمَthe standingفِيinحَالِstateقِيَامٍof standingقَائِمًاstandingوَإِذَاAnd ifقَعَدَhe sitsفَقَدْthen indeedعِلْمُهُHis knowledgeقَاعِدَةًof sittingفِيinحَالِstateقُعُودِهُof his sittingمِنْwithoutغَيْرِwithoutأَنْthatيَتَغَيَّرَit changesعِلْمُهُHis knowledgeأَوْorيَحْدُثُoccursلَهُto himعِلْمٌknowledge
And He knows how His annihilation occurs, and Allah knows the standing in the state of standing, and when he sits, then indeed His knowledge, of him sitting in the state of his sitting, does not change without Him changing or having a new knowledge.
وَلَكِنButالتَّغَيُّرُthe changeوَالاخْتِلَافُand the differencesيَحْدُثُhappenعِنْدَatالْمَخْلُوقِينَthe created
But change and differences happen among created beings.
يَعْنِيThis meansأَنْthatاللَّهَAllahتَعَالَىExaltedيَعْلَمُknowsالْأَشْيَاءِthe thingsبِعِلْمِهِby His knowledgeالْقَدِيمِthe ancientالْأَزَلِيِّthe eternalلَمْnotيَزَلْceasingمَوْصُوفًاto be describedبِهِwith itفِيinأَزَلٍeternityالْأَزَالِthe eternitiesلَاnotبِعِلْمٍby knowledgeمُتَجَدِّدٍrenewedوَلَاnorيَتَغَيَّرُchangesعِلْمُهُHis knowledgeبِتَغَيُّرِwith the changeالأَشْيَاءِof thingsوَاخْتِلَافِهَاand their differencesوَحُدُوثِهَاand their occurrenceوَعِلْمُهُAnd His knowledgeتَعَالَىExaltedواحِدٌis oneوَالْمَعْلُومَاتُand the knownمُتَعَدِّدَةٌare multiple
This means that Allah, Exalted, knows things with His ancient and eternal knowledge; He has always been described as such in all eternities, not by renewed knowledge, nor does His knowledge change with the changes, differences, and occurrences of things, and His knowledge is one while the known is multiple.
خَلَقَHe createdاللَّهُAllahتَعَالَىExaltedالْخَلْقَthe creationسَلِيمًاsoundأَيْthat isخَالِيًاfreeمِنْfromالْكُفْرِdisbeliefوَالْإِيمَانِand faithالَّذِينَthoseيَكْسِبُهَاacquireفِيinالدُّنْيَاthe worldثُمَّthenخَاطَبَهُمْHe addressed themعِنْدَatالْبُلُوغِmaturityمَعَwithالْعَقْلِthe intellectوَأَمَرَهُمْand commanded themبِالْإِيمَانِto believeوَالطَّاعَةِand obedienceوَنَهَاهُمْand forbade themعَنْfromالْكُفْرِdisbeliefوَالْعِصْيَانِand disobedience
Allah, Exalted, created the creation sound, that is, free from disbelief and faith, which they acquire in the world, then He addressed them at maturity with intellect and commanded them to believe and obey, and forbade them from disbelief and disobedience.
فَكَفَرَSo he disbelievedمَنْwhoكَفَرَdisbelievedبِفِعْلِهِby his actالِاخْتِيَارِيِّthe willfulوَانْكَرَهُand denialوَجُحُودِهِand his denialالْحَقِّthe truthوَالْجُحُودُAnd denialبِسَبَبِbecause ofخَذْلَانِabandonmentاللَّهِAllahتَعَالَىExaltedمِنْofكُفْرٍdisbelief
So he disbelieved who disbelieved by his willful act and denial of the truth and denial because of the abandonment of Allah, Exalted, from disbelief.
فِيInمُخْتَارِMuhtarالْصِّحَاحِAs-SahihخَذَلَهُHe abandoned him
In the Muhtar Al-Sahih, He abandoned him.
وَالْأَنْبِيَاءِAnd the prophetsعَلَيْهِمُupon themالصَّلَاةُpeaceوَالسَّلَامُand blessingsكُلَّهُمْall of themمُنَزَّهُونَare freeعَنْfromالصُّغَيْرَاتِthe minor sinsوَالْكَبَائِرِand the major sinsوَالكُفْرِand disbeliefوَالْقَبَائِحِand the abominationsوَقَدْAnd indeedكَانَتْthere wereمِنْهُمْof themزَلَّاتٌmistakesوَخَطَايَاand sinsوَمُحَمَّدٍand Muhammadعَلَيْهِupon himالصَّلَاةُthe peaceوَالسَّلَامُand blessings
And the prophets, upon them be peace and blessings, all of them are free from minor sins, major sins, disbelief, and abominations, and indeed there were among them mistakes and sins, and Muhammad, upon him be peace and blessings.
