لَاnoنَظِيرَequivalentلَهُto himوَلَاand notمِثْلَsimilarلَهُto himبِحَسَبِaccording toذَاتِهِHis essenceوَصَفَاتِهِand attributesأوorذَٰلِكَthatفَاللَّهُthen GodجَمِيعٌallتَعَالَىExaltedوَاحِدٌoneعَلَىonمَعْنَىmeaningأَنْthatلَاnoشَرِيكٌpartnerلَهُto himوَلَاand notنَظِيرٌequivalentلَهُto himفِيinذَاتِهِHis essenceوَصَفَاتِهِand attributes

There is no equivalent to Him nor similar to Him according to His essence and attributes.

(لَمْ(did notيَلِدْgive birth))أَيٌّthat isلَاnoوَلَدٌsonلَهُto him(وَلَمْ(and did notيُولَدْborn))مِنْfromالأَبِfatherوَandالأُمِّmother

(He did not give birth) meaning He has no son (and was not born) from a father and a mother.

هَٰذَاthisرَدٌّis a refutationلِقَوْلِto the sayingالنَّصَارَىof the Christiansوَالْيَهُودِand the Jewsفِيinوَلَدِيَّةٍtheir claim of sonshipالْمَسِيحِof Christوَعُزَيْرٍand Uzair،,وَقَوْلِand the sayingكُلِّof allالْفُلاسِفَةِphilosophersفِيinتَوَلُّدٍgenerationعَقْلٍmindعَنْfromوَاجِبٍthe NecessaryالْوُجُودِExistenceفَإِنَّfor verilyقَوْلَهُمْtheir sayingفِيofذَٰلِكَthatبَاطِلٌis falseلِأَنَّbecauseاللَّهَGodتَعَالَىExaltedهُوَHe isالصَّمَدُthe Eternal Refugeيَعْنِيmeaningالسَّيِّدُthe Lordالْغَنِيُّthe Richعَنْfromشَيْءٍanythingالَّذِيthatيَفْتَقِرُis in needإِلَيْهِto Himكُلَّallشَيْءٍthingسِوَاهُother than Him(وَلَمْ(And there was notكَانَthere wasلَهُto himكُفُؤٌequalأَحَدٌanyoneأَيٌّthat isوَلَمْand notيَكُنْwasشَيْءٌa thingمِنَofالْمَوْجُودَاتِthe existentsيُمَاثِلُهُis like Himوَهُوَand He isلَيْسَis notبِجَسَدٍa bodyفَيُقَدَّرُto perceiveوَيَتَصَوَّرُand to imagineوَيَنْقَسِمُand to be dividedوَلَاneitherبِجَوْهَرٍa substanceفَتَحِلُّهُto which accidents befallالْأَعْرَاضُthe qualitiesوَلَاand notيُعْرَضُto be subjectفَيُحَلُّto becomeفِيinالْجَوَاهِرِthe essences(لَا(Noيُشْبِهُresemblesشَيْئًاanythingمِنَofالأَشْيَاءِthe thingsمِنَofخَلْقِهِHis creationأَيٌّthat isلَاnoيُشْبِهُresemblesاللَّهَGodتَعَالَىExaltedشَيْئًاanythingمِنَofالْمَخْلُوقَاتِcreaturesوَالْمَخْلُوقَاتُand the creaturesكُلُّهَاall of themلَهُbelong to Himوَلَاand notيُشْبِهُهُresembles Himشَيْءٌa thingمِنَofخَلْقٍcreationلَاnoفِيinالْوُجُودِexistenceلَأَنَّهُbecause it is notلَاnotوَاجِبٌnecessaryلِنَفْسِهِin itselfإِلَّاexceptاللَّهَGod،,وَمَاand whatسِوَاهُother than Himمُمْكِنٌpossibleوَلَاnorفِيinالعِلْمِknowledgeوَلَاnorفِيinالْقُدْرَةِabilityوَلَاand norفِيinسَائِرِthe restالصِّفَاتِthe attributesأوorمُحْدَثَةٍwhat is originatedأوorوَقَفٌsuspendedأوorشَكٌّdoubtفِيهَاin itفَهُوَthen he isكَافِرٌdisbelieverبِاللَّهِin AllahتَعَالَىExaltedوَالْقُرْآنَand the Quranكَلَامَspeechاللَّهِof AllahتَعَالَىExaltedفِيinالمَصَاحِفِthe manuscriptsمَكْتُوبٌwrittenوَفِيand inالْقُلُوبِthe heartsمَحْفُوظٌpreservedوَعَلَىand onالْأَلْسُنِthe tonguesمَقْرُؤٌrecited..١٠٧107

This is a refutation of the claim of the Christians and Jews in the sonship of Christ and Uzair, and the saying of all philosophers regarding the generation of the mind from the Necessary Existence.
