Because these deeds do not usually yield any benefit to people that they exalt and dominate the person, what is gained from education, spending, and envy is actually due to what is attained for others in leadership and authority; otherwise, the worker does not envy usually, even if his enjoyment in eating, drinking, and marriage is more than others. In contrast to these two kinds, they envy a lot.

And for this, there exists among the people of knowledge who have followers of envy that does not exist in those who do not have such, and likewise in those who have followers because of spending his money; this benefits people by the strength of hearts and this benefits them by the strength of bodies. Everyone is in need of what renews them from this and this, and for this, God glorified is He drew two examples by this.
فَقَالَthen he saidالنَّحْلُthe beeضَرَبَdrewاللَّهُGodمَثَلًاan exampleعَبْدًاa servantمَمْلُوكًاenslavedلَاnotيَقْدِرُableعَلَىtoشَيْءٍanythingوَandمِنْone whomرَزَقْنَاهُwe providedمِنَّاfrom usرِزْقًاsustenanceحَسَنًاgoodفَهُوَheيُنْفِقُspendsمِنْهُfrom itسِرًّاin secretوَجَهْرًاand in publicهَلisيَسْتَوِيequalالْحَمْدُpraiseلِلَّهِto Godبَلْbutأَكْثَرُهُمْmost of themلَاdo notيَعْلَمُونَknow
Then He said, the bee drew God an example of a servant who is enslaved, not being able to do anything and one whom We provided sustenance from Us. He spends from it in secret and in public, is it equal? Praise is to God, but most of them do not know.
وَضَرَبَand He drewاللَّهُGodمَثَلًاan exampleرَجُلَيْنِof two menأَحَدُهُمَاone of themأبْكَمُwas muteلَاdoes notيَقْدِرُableعَلَىtoشَيْءٍanythingوَandهُوَhe isكُلٌّcompletelyعَلَىonمَوْلَاهُhis masterأَيْنَمَاwhereverيُوَجِّهُهُhe directs himلَاnotيَأْتِيcomesبِخَيْرٍwith goodهَلisيَسْتَوِيequalهُوَheوَandمِنْone whoيَأْمُرُcommandsبِالْعَدْلِjusticeوَandهُوَhe isعَلَىonصِرَاطٍa pathمُسْتَقِيمٍstraight
And God drew an example of two men, one of whom was mute, not able to do anything, and he is completely at the behest of his master, wherever he directs him, he does not come with good. Is he equal with one who commands justice and he is on a straight path?
وَالمَثَلَانِAnd the two examplesضَرَبَهُمَاHe drew themاللَّهُGodسُبْحَانَهُglorified is Heلِنَفْسِهِfor Himselfالمُقَدَّسَةِthe holyوَلَمَّاand whenيُعْبَدَworshipedمِنْother thanدُونَهُHimفَإِنَّfor indeedالأَوْثَانَthe idolsلَاdo notتَقْدِرُhave the abilityلَاtoعَلَىperformعَمَلٍany actionيَنْفَعُthat benefitsوَلَاnorعَلَىtoكَلَامٍspeakيَنْفَعُthat benefitsفَإِذَاso ifقَدَّرَa servantمَمْلُوكُenslavedلَاdoes notيَقْدِرُableعَلَىtoشَيْءٍanythingوَآخَرُand another oneقَدْhasرَزَقَهُprovided for himاللَّهُGodرِزْقًاsustenanceحَسَنًاgoodفَهُوَheيُنْفِقُspendsمِنْهُfrom itسِرًّاin secretوَجَهْرًاand in publicهَلisيَسْتَوِيequalهَذَاthisالمَمْلُوكُenslavedالْعَاجِزُunableعَنْfromالْإِحْسَانِgood
And the two examples drawn by God glorified is He for Himself the holy, and when worshiped other than Him; for indeed, the idols do not have the ability to perform any action that benefits nor to speak that benefits. So if a servant enslaved is not able to do anything, and another one has been provided by God with good sustenance, he spends from it in secret and in public, is this enslaved unable from good?

And this able one who does good to people in secret and in public; he is glorified is He able to do good to His servants, and He is always benefactor to them. So how can the unable enslaved one, who is not able to do anything, even resemble him in anything? This is an example of one that God gave wealth; he spends from it at night and during the day.
وَالْمَثَلُAnd the exampleالثَّانِيthe secondإِذَاifقَدَرُواcouldشَخْصَانِtwo personsأَحَدُهُمَاone of themأَبْكَمُmuteلَاdoes notيَعْقِلُunderstandوَلَاand does notيَتَكَلَّمُspeakوَلَاand does notيَقْدِرُableعَلَىtoشَيْءٍanythingوَهُوَand heمَعَwithهَذَاthisكُلُّallعَلَىonمَوْلَاهُhis masterأَيْنَمَاwhereverيُوَجِّهُهُhe directs himلَاnotيَأْتِيcomesبِخَيْرٍwith goodفَلَيْسَso it is notفِيهِin himمِنْanyنَفْعٍbenefitقَطُّat allبَلْbutهُوَhe isكُلٌّcompletelyعَلَىonمَنْanyoneيَتَوَلَّىwho takes care ofأَمْرَهُhis affairsوَآخَرُand anotherعَالِمٌknowingعَادِلٌjustيَأْمُرُcommandsبِالْعَدْلِjusticeوَandيَعْمَلُactsبِالْعَدْلِwith justiceفَهُوَhe isعَلَىonصِرَاطٍa pathمُسْتَقِيمٍstraight
And the second example, if two persons could, one of them is mute, who does not understand and does not speak, and does not able to do anything, and he is completely at the behest of his master, wherever he directs him, he does not comes with good; so it is not in him any benefit at all. But he is completely at the behest of anyone who takes care of his affairs, and another, knowing and just, commands with justice and acts with justice, he is on a straight path.
