حَاجَتَهُhis needالتَّوبَةَrepentanceوَالاِسْتِغْفَارَand seeking forgivenessثُمَّthenدَخَلَhe enteredعَلَىtoاللَّهِ،Allah,وَأَلْحَّand insistedعَلَيْهِon Himفِيinالْمَسْأَلَةِ،the matter,
His need is repentance and seeking forgiveness. Then he entered to Allah and insisted on Him in the matter.
وَتَمَلَّقَهُ،And he flattered Him,وَدَعَاهُand called upon Himرَغْبَةًwith desireوَرَحْمَةًand fear.
And he flattered Him and called upon Him with desire and fear.
وَتَوَسَّلَAnd he intercededإِلَيْهِto Himبِأَسْمَائِهِwith His namesوَصِفَاتِهِand His attributesوَتَوْحِيدِهِ،and His oneness,وَقَدَّمَand he presentedبَيْنَbeforeيَدَيْهِHis handsدُعَائَهُhis supplicationصَدَقَةًa charity
And he interceded to Him with His names and His attributes and His oneness, and he presented a charity before his supplication.
فَإِنَّForهَذَاthisالدُّعَاءَsupplicationلَاdoes notيَكَادُalmostيُرَدُّto be rejectedأَبَدًا،ever,وَلَاand notسِيمَاespeciallyإِنْifصَادَفَit coincides withالأَدْعِيَةِthe supplicationsالَّتِيthatأَخْبَرَthe Prophet toldالنَّبِيُّthe Prophet
For this supplication is hardly ever rejected, especially if it coincides with the supplications that the Prophet ﷺ informed us are likely to be answered.
أَوْorأَنَّهَاthat they areمُتَضَمِّنَةًinclusive ofلِلِاسْمِthe nameالأَعْظَمِ :the Greatest:
Or that they are inclusive of the Greatest name:
فَمِنْهَاAmong themمَاis whatفِيinالسُّنَنِthe Sunnahوَصَحِيحٍand AuthenticابْنِIbnحِبَّانَHibbanمِنْfromحَدِيثِthe narration ofعَبْدِاللَّهِAbdullahبِنِbinبُرَيْدَةَBuraidahعَنْfromأَبِيهِhis fatherأَنَّthatرَسُولَthe Messengerاللَّهِof Allahسَمِعَhe heardرَجُلًاa manيَقُولُ :saying:اللَّهُمَّO Allah,إِنِّيindeed Iأَسْأَلُكَask Youبِأَنِّيbecause Iأَشْهَدُwitnessأَنَّكَthat YouأَنْتَYouاللَّهَAllahلَاnotإِلَهَa deityإِلَّاexceptأَنتَYouالأَحَدَthe Oneالصَّمَدَthe Eternalالَّذِيwhoلَمdid notيُولَدْgive birthوَلَمand did notيُولَدْgive birthوَلَمand notيَكُنْwasلَهُfor Himكُفُوًاa matchأَحَدٌ.anyone.
Among them is what is in the Sunnah and the Authentic of Ibn Hibban from the narration of Abdullah bin Buraidah from his father that the Messenger of Allah heard a man saying: 'O Allah, I ask You because I witness that You are Allah, there is no deity except You, the One, the Eternal, who did not give birth and was not born, and there is none comparable to Him.'
فَقَالَ :He said:لَقَدْIndeedسَأَلَhe askedاللَّهَAllahبِالْاسْمِby the nameالَّذِيthatإِذَاifسُئِلَaskedبِهِby itأَعْطَى،He granted,وَإِذَاand ifدُعِيَinvokedبِهِby itأَجَابَ»He answered.'
He said: 'Indeed he asked Allah by the name that if He is asked by it, He grants, and if He is invoked by it, He answers.'
ف:Note: «بِهِ'by itعَلَيْهِ».to him.'
Note: 'by it to Him.'
زَادَHe addedفِيinس:Sوَتَمَلَّقَهُ»and 'he flattered.'مُكَرِّرًا .repeated.
He added in S: 'and he flattered.' repetitively.
فِيInز:Z:«الْحُسْنَى»the Beautiful Namesفَوْقَaboveالسِّطْرِ .the line.
In Z: 'the Beautiful Names' above the line.
أَخْرَجَهُReported byأَبُوAbuدَاوُدَDawood(١٤٩٣،(1493,١٤٩٤)1494)وَالْتُرْمِذِيand Al-Tirmidhi(٣٤٧٥)(3475)وَابْنُand IbnمَاجَهMajah(٣٨٥٧)(3857)وَابْنُand IbnحِبَّانHibban(۸۹۲)(892)وَأَحْمَدُand Ahmad٣٥٠٥3505(٢٢٩٥٢،(22952,٢٢٩٦٥)22965)مِنْfromطَرِيقِthe pathمَالِكِMalikبِنbinمَغُولٍMaghulعَنْfromابْنِson ofبُرَيْدَةَBuraidahعَنْfromأَبِيهِ،his father,فَذَكَرَهُ. he mentioned it.وَفِيهِAnd in itقِصَّةٌ.is a story.
Reported by Abu Dawood (1493, 1494), Al-Tirmidhi (3475), Ibn Majah (3857), Ibn Hibban (892), and Ahmad (3505, 22952, 22965) from the narration of Malik bin Maghul from Ibn Buraidah from his father, and he mentioned it. And in it is a story.
وَرَوَاهُAnd narratedعَبْدُالْوَارِثِAbdulwarithعَنْfromحُسَيْنِHussainبِنِbinذَكْوَانَDhakwanالْمُعَلِّمِthe teacherعَنْfromعَبْدِاللَّهِAbdullahبِنِbinبُرَيْدَةَBuraidahعَنْfromعَلِيٍّ،Ali,بِنِson ofعَلِيٍّAliأَنَّthatمُحْجَنَMuhjanبِنِbinالأَدْرَعِAl-Adra'.حَدَّثَهُtold himأَنَّthatرَسُولَthe Messengerاللَّهِof Allah
And narrated by Abdulwarith from Hussain bin Dhakwan the teacher from Abdullah bin Buraidah from Ali, son of Ali, that Muhjan bin Al-Adra' told him that the Messenger of Allah.
دَخَلَenteredالْمَسْجِدَthe mosqueفَإِذَاand ifهُوَheبِرَجُلٍwith a manقَدْwho hadقَضَىcompletedصَلَاتَهُhis prayerوَهُوَand heيَتَشَهَّدُwas testifyingوَهُوَand heيَقُولُ:was saying:اللَّهُمَّO Allah,إِنِّيindeed Iأَسْأَلُكَask Youبِاللَّهِby Allahالْواحِدَthe Oneالأَحَدَthe Onlyالصَّمَدَ،the Eternal,الَّذِيwhoلَمْdid notيُولَدْgive birthوَلَمْand did notيُولَدْgive birthوَلَمْand notيَكُنْwasلَهُfor Himكُفُوًاa matchأَحَدٌanyone.أَنْtoتَغْفِرَforgiveلِيmeذُنُوبِي،my sins,إِنَّكَindeed YouأَنتَYouالْغَفُورُthe All-Forgivingالرَّحِيمُ. the Most Merciful.
entered the mosque, and if he sees a man who had completed his prayer and was testifying, while saying: 'O Allah, indeed I ask You by Allah, the One, the Only, the Eternal, who did not give birth and was not born, and there is none comparable to Him, to forgive me my sins, for indeed You are the All-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.'
قَالَ :He said:فَقَالَHe saidنَبِيُّthe Prophetاللَّهِ :of Allah:قَدْIndeedغَفَرَforgivenلَهُto himقَدْIndeedغَفَرَforgivenلَهُ،to him,قَدْIndeedغَفَرَforgivenلَهُto himثَلاثَthreeمَرَّاتٍ. times.
He said: 'Indeed, the Prophet of Allah said: 'He has been forgiven, he has been forgiven, he has been forgiven three times.'

قَالَHe saidأَبُوAbuحَاتِمُHatimالرَّازِيّAl-Raziبَعْدَafterذِكْرِmentioningالطَّرِيقَيْنِ :the two narrations:وَحَدِيثِand hadithعَبْدِالْوَارِثِAbdulwarithأَشْبَهُ».is more similar.
Abu Hatim Al-Razi said after mentioning the two narrations: 'The hadith of Abdulwarith is more similar.'
قُلْتُ:I said:حَدِيثُThe hadithعَبْدِالْوَارِثِof Abdulwarithصَحَّحَهُis authenticatedابْنُby IbnخُزَيْمَةَKhuzaimahوَالْحَاكِمُ.and Al-Hakim.انظُرْSeeعِلَلِthe defectsابْنِof IbnأَبِيAbuحَاتِمٍHatim۱۹۷/۲197/2--۱۹۸198..(۲۰۸۲)(2082).
I said: 'The hadith of Abdulwarith is authenticated by Ibn Khuzaimah and Al-Hakim. See the defects of Ibn Abu Hatim 197/2 - 198 (2082).
