وَفِيهِAnd in itأَيْضًاalsoمِنْfromحَدِيثthe narrationثَوْبَانThawban::لَاNoيَرُدُّrepelsالْقَدَرthe decreeإِلَّاexceptالدُّعَاءِsupplication،,وَلَاand notيَزِيدُincreasesفِيinالْعُمْرageإِلَّاexceptالْبِرِّrighteousness،,وَإِنَّand indeedالرَّجُلthe manلَيُحْرَمَis deprivedالرِّزْقَprovisionبِالذَّنْبِby sinيُصِيبُهُthat befalls him

And in it also, from the narration of Thawban: No decree is repelled except by supplication, and no age is increased except by righteousness. And indeed, a man is deprived of provision by the sin that befalls him.

فَصْلٌSection

Section

وَمِنْAnd one ofأَنْفَعِthe most beneficialالأَدْوِيَةmedicines::الإِلْحَاحِinsistenceفِيinالدُّعَاءِsupplication

And one of the most beneficial medicines: insistence in supplication.

وَقَدAnd it hasرُوِيَbeen narratedابْنby IbnمَاجَهMajahفِيinسُنَنِهِhis Sunan,,مِنْfromحَدِيثthe narrationأَبِيAbuهُرَيْرَةHurairaقَالَsaid::قَالَsaid

And it has been narrated by Ibn Majah in his Sunan from the narration of Abu Huraira, he said: he said.

هَذَاThisحَدِيثnarrationصَحِيحٌis authenticالإِسْنَادthe chain of narratorsوَلَمand did notيَخْرُجَاهrecord it

This narration is authentic in its chain of narrators, and they did not record it.

قُلْتُI said::وَلَمAnd did notيَتَّعَقَّبْهُhe counter itالذَّهَبِيُّAl-Dhahabi

I said: and he (Al-Dhahabi) did not counter it.

وَقَدAnd it hasوَقَعَoccurredفِيinالْحَدِيثthe narrationاخْتِلَافٌdifferencesوَطَرِيقٌand the wayالثَّوْرِيُّAl-Thawriأَشْبَهَis closerبِالصَّوَابِto the correct opinion،,لَكِنَّbutفِيinسَندِهِits chain of narratorsعَبْدِ اللَّهAbdullahبِنbinأَبِيAbuالْجَعْدِAl-Ja'adلَمdid notيُوَثِّقَهُauthenticate himغَيْرَother thanابْنIbnحَبَّانHabban

And differences have occurred in the narration, and the way of Al-Thawri is closer to the truth, but in its chain of narrators, Abdullah bin Abu Al-Ja'ad was authenticated by no one other than Ibn Habban.

وَوُرِدَAnd it was reportedمِنْfromحَدِيثthe narrationسُلَيْمَانSulaimanبِلَفْظِwith the wordingلَاNoيَرُدُّrepelsالْقَضَاءِthe decreeإِلَّاexceptالدُّعَاءِsupplication،,وَلَاand notيَزِيدُincreasesفِيinالْعُمْرِageإِلَّاexceptالْبِرِّrighteousness

And it was reported from the narration of Sulaiman with the wording: No decree is repelled except by supplication, and no age is increased except by righteousness.

أَخْرَجَهُNarrated byالْتِّرْمِذِيُّAl-Tirmidhiقَالَsaid::هَذَاThisحَدِيثٌnarrationحَسَنٌis goodغَرِيبٌstrangeمِنْfromحَدِيثthe narrationسُلَيْمَانSulaimanنَعْرِفُهُwe know itإِلَّاexceptمِنْfromحَدِيثthe narrationيَحْيَىYahyaبِنbinالضَّرَيْسِAl-Dhures.

Al-Tirmidhi said: This narration is good and strange from the narration of Sulaiman; we only know of it from the narration of Yahya bin Al-Dhures.

قُلْتُI said::وَالْحَدِيثُAnd the narrationتَفَرَّدَis uniqueبِهِto itأَبُوAbuمَوْدُودٌMoudoudوَاسْمَةٌand his nameفِضَّةٌFidah--ضَعِيفٌweakالْحَدِيثُthe narration--عَنْfromسُلَيْمَانSulaimanالتَّيْمِيِّAl-TemiعَنْfromأَبِيAbuعُثْمَانUthmanالنَّهْدِيِّAl-NahdiعَنْfromسُلَيْمَانSulaiman::اُنظُرْSeeتَهْذِيبَTahdhibالْكَمَالِAl-Kamal

I said: and the narration is unique to Abu Moudoud, whose name is Fidah - weak in narration - from Sulaiman Al-Temi from Abu Uthman Al-Nahdi from Sulaiman: See Tahdhib Al-Kamal.

لَمdoes notيُعْتَبَرْcountوَقَدand hasوَقَعَoccurredفِيinالْحَدِيثthe narrationاخْتِلَافٌdifferencesوَطَرِيقٌand the wayالثَّوْرِيَّAl-Thawriأَشْبَهَis closerبِالصَّوَابِto the truth،,لَكِنَّbutفِيinسَندِهِits chain of narratorsعَبْدِ اللَّهAbdullahبِنbinأَبِيAbuالْجَعْدِAl-Ja'adلَمdid notيُوَثِّقْهُauthenticate himغَيْرَother thanابْنIbnحَبَّانHabban

It should also be noted that there have been differences in this narration and the path of Al-Thawri is closer to being correct, but in the chain of narrators, Abdullah bin Abu Al-Ja'ad was authenticated by no one other than Ibn Habban.
