And the second record is of his companion: "Ali bin Muhammad bin Bir. Ahmad al-Laythi. In the last of the copy, there is a seal of endowment of Omar Agha, and under it is a record of review that appears only "He reviewed in it," and the rest is erased and under it is a record of ownership stating: "His owner from the grace of God Muhammad bin Yusuf the Egyptian, then Shafi'i, may God have mercy on those who have mercy on him." And under it on his right is a phrase struck out so that it cannot be read. And on his left is another record we referred to earlier for its indication that the copy was written in the eighth century, and its text is: "Transferred to the ownership of Ahmad bin Ali bin Yusuf, may God pardon him, in the month of Rabi' al-Awwal in the year ninety-one and seven hundred." And on his right is a record of the purchase of Abu al-Khayr al-Hijazi for the copy in 954, which we previously mentioned.
