نَصِلُWe reachالذُّنُوبِsinsإِلَىtoالذُّنُوبِsinsوَنَرْتَجِيand we hope forدَرَكَthe degree ofالْجِنَانِthe gardensلَدَىwithالنَّعِيمِthe eternal blissالْخَالِدِthe everlasting

We reach sins to sins and we hope for the degree of the gardens with the eternal bliss.

وَلَقَدْAnd indeedعَلِمْنَاwe knowأَخْرَجَthat He brought outالْأَبَوَيْنِthe two parentsمِنْfromمَمْلَكَتِهَاHer kingdomالْأَعْلَىthe highestبِذَنبٍby one sinواحِدٍone

And indeed we know that He brought out the two parents from her kingdom the highest by one sin.

وَالْمَقْصُودُAnd the intendedأَنْthatالْعَبْدَthe servantقَدْmayيَكُونَbeبَعْدَafterالتَّوْبَةِthe repentanceخَيْرًاbetterمِمَّاthan whatكَانَhe wasقَبْلَbeforeالْخَطِيئَةِthe sinوَأَرْفَعَand higherدَرَجَةًdegree

And the intended is that the servant may be better after repentance than he was before the sin and is of a higher degree.

وَقَدْAnd it mayتَضْعُفُweakenالْخَطِيئَةُthe sinهِمَّتَهُhis ambitionوَتُوهِنَand undermineعَزْمَهُhis determinationوَتُوَرِّثَand sickenقَلْبَهُhis heart

And it may weaken the sin his ambition, and undermine his determination, and sicken his heart.

فَلَاSo it does notيَقْوَىbecome strongدَوَاءُthe remedyالتَّوْبَةِthe repentanceعَلَىonإِعَادَتِهِreturning himإِلَىtoالصِّحَّةِthe original healthالأُولَىthe first

So it does not become strong the remedy of repentance on returning him to the original health.

فَلَاThus, he does notيَعُودُreturnإِلَىtoدَرَجَتِهِhis degree

Thus, he does not return to his degree.

وَقَدْAnd it mayيَزُولَremoveالْمَرَضُthe sicknessبِحَيْثُso thatتَعُودُit returnsالصِّحَّةُthe healthكَمَاasكَانَتْit was

And it may remove the sickness so that the health returns as it was.

وَيَعُودُAnd he returnsإِلَىtoمِثْلِthe like ofعَمَلِهِhis work

And he returns to the like of his work.

فَيَعُودُThen he returnsإِلَىtoدَرَجَتِهِhis degree

Then he returns to his degree.

هَذَاThisكُلَّهُall of it

This all.

إِذَاIfكَانَwasنُزُولُهُhis descentإِلَىtoمَعْصِيَةٍdisobedience

If his descent was to disobedience.

فَإِنْThen ifكَانَit wasنُزُولُهُhis descentإِلَىtoأَمْرٍa command

Then if his descent was to a command.
