فَأَيْنَSo whereهَذَاis thisمِنْfromنَعِيمٍthe blissمِنْofيَرْقُصُdancingقَلْبِهِhis heartطَرَبًاin delight,,وَفَرَحًاand joy,,وَأَنْسًاand peaceبِرَبِّهِwith his Lord,,وَاشْتِيَاقًاand longingإِلَيْهِto Him,,وَارْتِيَاحًاand comfortبِحُبِّهِin His love,,وَطَمَأْنِينَةًand tranquilityبِذِكْرِهِin His remembrance,,حَتَّىuntilيَقُولَsome sayبَعْضُهُمْsome of themفِيinحَالِthe stateنَزْعِهِof his removalوَاطْرِبَاهُand Oh, delightful!

So where is this from the bliss of one whose heart dances in delight, joy, peace with his Lord, longing for Him, comfort in His love, and tranquility in His remembrance, until some say in the state of his removal, 'Oh, delightful!'

وَيَقُولُAnd another saysالآخَرُthe other:: إِنْIfكَانَthere areأَهْلُpeopleالجَنَّةِof Paradiseفِيinمِثْلِsuchهَذِهِthisالْحَالِstate,,إِنَّهُمْthey are surelyلَفِيinعَيْشٍa livingطَيِّبٍpleasant

And another says: If the people of Paradise are in such a state, they are surely living a pleasant life!

وَيَقُولُAnd another saysالآخَرُthe other:: مَسَاكِينُPoorأَهْلُpeopleالدُّنْيَاof the world,,خَرَجُواthey leftمِنْهَاitوَمَاand did notذَاقُواtasteلَذِيذَthe sweetnessالْعَيْشِof lifeفِيهَاin it,,وَمَاand did notذَاقُواtasteأَطْيَبَthe bestمَاthatفِيهَاis in it

And another says: Poor are the people of the world, they left it without having tasted the sweetness of life in it, and they did not taste the best that is in it!

وَيَقُولُAnd another saysالآخَرُthe other:: لَوْIfعَلِمَتِthe kingsالْمُلُوكُand the kingsوَأَبْنَاءُand the sonsالْمُلُوكِof kingsمَاwhatنَحْنُwe areفِيهِin it[١/٣٧][1/37]

And another says: If the kings and the sons of kings knew what we are in [1/37]

جَاءَIt has been saidنَحْوُهُsimilarعَنْbyبِلَالٍBilalبِنِbinسَعْدٍSa'dقَالَhe saidحِينَwhenحَضَرَتْthe moment cameالْوَفَاةُof death:غَدًاTomorrowنَلْقَىwe will meetالْأَحِبَّةَthe beloved ones,, مُحَمَّدًاMuhammadوَحَزْبَهُand his companions.فَتَقُولُAnd she saysامْرَأَتُهُhis wifeوَاوَيْلَاهُOh, woe!,وَيَقُولُand he saysوَافَرِحَاهُOh, rejoice!..

It has been said similar by Bilal bin Sa'd, who said when the moment of death came: 'Tomorrow we will meet the beloved ones, Muhammad and his companions.' And she says, 'Oh, woe!' and he says, 'Oh, rejoice!'

أَخْرَجَهُIt was reportedابْنُby ibnأَبِيAbiالدُّنْيَاal-DunyaفِيinالْمُحْتَضَرِينَAl-Muhtadireen(٢٩٤)(294).

It was reported by Ibn Abi Al-Dunya in 'Al-Muhtadireen' (294).

فَSo,لَL:«هَذَاthisالْحَالُstate».,,

So: 'this state'.

It was mentioned by the author in Al-Madarij (454/1), (6/2), (259/3), and 'Ighatha Al-Lahfan (932), and 'Al-Wabill Al-Sayib (111), and 'Al-Miftah (184/1), and 'Al-Rawda (271), and his letter to one of his brothers (34).

وَنَقَلَAnd it was narratedابْنُby Ibnالْجَوْزِيal-JawziنَحْوَهُsimilarlyعَنْbyأَبِيAbiسُلَيْمَانَSulaimanالْمَغْرِبِيal-Maghribiفِيinصِفَةِthe descriptionالصَّفْوَةِof the elite(٣٦٩/٢)(369/2).

And it was narrated by Ibn al-Jawzi similarly by Abi Sulaiman al-Maghribi in the description of the elite (369/2).

It was mentioned by the author in Al-Madarij (454/1), and 'Ighatha Al-Lahfan (932), and 'al-Wabill Al-Sayib (110), and 'Al-Rawda (271), and the mentioned letter (34) and narrated by Abu Na'im from Ibn al-Mubarak in Al-Haliyah (177/8).

وَفِيAnd thereinهِis a completionتَكْمِلَةٌit was saidقِيلَto himوَمَاand whatأَطْيَبُis bestمَاthatفِيْهَاis in it?قَالَhe said:: المَعْرِفَةُthe knowledgeبِاللَّهِof Allahعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Exalted and Majestic.

And therein is a completion, it was said to him: 'What is the best that is in it?' He said: 'The knowledge of Allah, the Exalted and Majestic.'

وَفِيAnd inالْمَدَارِجِAl-Madarijوَغَيْرِهِand othersزِيَادَةٌis an addition(ص)(S).وَأَخْرَجَهُAnd it was reportedأَبُوby AbuنَعِيمٍNa'imفِيinالْحَلِيَةِAl-Hiliya(۳٥٨/٢)(358/2).وَابْنُوعَسَاكِرَAsakirفِيinتَارِيخِهِhis history(٤٢١/٥٦(421/56),٤٢٧)(427)

And in Al-Madarij and others, is an additional note (S). And it was reported by Abu Na'im in Al-Hiliya (358/2) and Ibn Asakir in his history (421/56, 427).

فَSo,«آخَرَanother».». وَهُوَAnd he isإِبْرَاهِيمُIbrahimبِنِbinأَدْهَمَAdhamفِيinالْحَلِيَّةِAl-Hiliya(٤٢٩/٧)(429/7).

So, 'another.' And he is Ibrahim bin Adham in Al-Hiliya (429/7).

وَانْظُرْAnd seeالْمِفْتَاحَAl-Miftah(۱۸۳/١)(183/1) ,وَالْوَابِلَand 'al-WabillالصَّيِّبَAl-Sayib(۱۱۰)(110),,وَإِغَاثَةَand 'IghathaاللَّهَفَانِAl-Lahfan(۹۳۲)(932).
