بِمَعَاصِيwith the sinsاللَّهِof God،,وَلاَand notيَسْتَخِفَّto belittleبِهِHimالْخَلْقُthe creatures؟?
With the sins of God, and do not belittle Him, the creatures?
وَقَدْAndأَشَارَHe pointedسُبْحَانَهُExalted be Heإِلَىtoهَذَاthis(۱)(1)فِيinكِتَابِهِHis bookعِندَwhenذِكْرِmentioningعُقُوبَاتِthe punishmentsالذُّنُوبِof sins،,
And He pointed, Exalted be He, to this (1) in His book when mentioning the punishments of sins.
(۲)(2)عَلَيْهَاupon itوَأَنَّهُand that Heأَرْكَسَcast downأَرْبَابَهَاits mastersبِمَاwith whatكَسَبُواthey earnedوَغَطَّىand He coveredعَلَىuponقُلُوبِهِمtheir hearts،,وَطَبَعَand He sealedبِذُنُوبِهِمwith their sins،,وَأَنَّهُand that Heنَسِيَهُمْforgot themكَمَاasنَسُوهُthey forgot Himوَأَهَانَهُمْand He humiliated themكَمَاasأَهَانُواthey humiliatedدِينَكَYour religion،,وَضَيَّعَهُمْand He wasted themكَمَاasضَيَّعُواthey wastedأَمْرَهُHis command۔. وَلِهَذَاAnd for this reasonقَالَHe saidتَعَالَىthe Most Highفِيinآيَةِthe verseسُجُودِof prostrationالْمَخْلُوقَاتِthe creaturesلَهُto Him::﴿﴿وَمَنْAnd whoeverيُهِنِhumiliatesاللَّهُGodفَمَاthen whatلَهُis for himمِنْofتَكْرِيمٍhonors[[الْحَجِّHajj//١٨18,,فَإِنَّهُمْfor they(۳)(3)لَمَّاwhenهَانَwere belittledعَلَيْهِمupon themالسُّجُودَthe prostrationلَهُto Him،,وَاسْتَخَفُّواand they belittledبِهِHim،,وَلَمand did notيَفْعَلُوهُdo itأَهَانَهُمْHe humiliated them،,فَلَمْso there was notيَكُنْwasلَهُمْfor themمِنْany ofمُكْرَمٍhonorsبَعْدَafterأَنْthatأَهَانَهُمْHe humiliated them.
And whoever humiliates God, then what is for him from honors? For they, when they belittled the prostration to Him, and did not do it, He humiliated them, so there was not for them any of honors after He humiliated them.
وَمِنْAnd amongذَاكَwhoيُكْرِمُhonorsمَنْwhomأَهَانَهُGod humiliatesاللَّهُGod،,أَوْorيُهِينُhumiliatesمَنْwhomأَكْرَمَهُHe honoredاللَّهُGod(٤)(4)
And who honors whom God humiliated, or humiliates whom God honored?

وَمِنْAnd amongعُقُوبَاتِهَاthe punishments of them::أَنَّهَاis that itتَسْتَدْعِيcalls forنِسْيَانَthe forgettingاللَّهَof Godلِعَبْدِهِto His servant،,وَتَرْكَهُand leaving him،,وَتَخْلِيَتَهُand leaving him aloneبَيْنَهُbetween himوَبَيْنَand betweenنَفْسِهِhis selfوَشَيْطَانِهِand his devil.هُنَاكَThere isالْهَلاَكُthe destructionالَّذِيwhichلَاnoيُرْجَىis hoped forمَعَهُwith itنَجَاةٌsalvation.
And among its punishments is that it calls for the forgetting of God to His servant, and leaving him, and leaving him alone between himself and his devil. There is the destruction that no salvation is hoped for with it.
قَالَHe saidتَعَالَىthe Most High::﴿﴿يَـٰأَيُّهَاO you whoالَّذِينَbelieveءَامَنُواbelieveاتَّقُواFearاللَّهَGodوَلْتَنْظُرْAnd let each soul lookنَفْسٌwhat it has put forthمَاwhatقَدَّمَتْit has put forthلِغَدٍfor tomorrowوَاتَّقُواAnd fearاللَّهَGodإِنَّIndeedاللَّهَGodخَبِيرٌis All-Awareبِمَاof whatتَعْمَلُونَyou doوَلَاand do notتَكُونُواbeكَالَّذِينَlike those whoنَسُواforgotاللَّهَGodفَأَنسَاهُمْso He caused them to forgetأَنفُسَهُمْthemselvesأُولَـٰئِكَThoseهُمُthey areالْفَاسِقُونَthe disobedient.﴾﴾[[الْحَشْرِAl-Hashr//١٨18--١٩19]]
He said, the Most High: ﴿ O you who believe! Fear God, and let each soul look to what it has put forth for tomorrow, and fear God; indeed, God is All-Aware of what you do; and be not like those who forgot God, so He caused them to forget themselves; those are the disobedient ﴾ [Al-Hashr/ 18-19].
فَأَمَرَSo He commanded(٦)(6)بِتَقْوَاهُto fear Him،,وَنَهَىand He forbadeأَنْthatيَتَشَبَّهَthey resembleعِبَادَهُHis servantsالْمُؤْمِنُونَthe believersبِمَنْwith those whoنَسِيَهُforgot Himبِتَرْكِby leaving
And He commanded (6) to fear Him, and forbade that His believing servants resemble those who forgot Him by leaving.
