وَأُتِيَAnd he was broughtبِطَائِرٍa birdفَقَلَبَهُso he flipped itثُمَّthenقَالَhe saidمَاwhatصِيدَis huntedمِنْfromصَيْدٍthe huntingوَلَاnorقُطِعَتْwas cutمِنْfromشَجَرَةٍa treeإِلَّاexceptبِمَاwith that whichضَيَّعْتَyou wastedمِنَofالتَّسْبِيحِthe glorification
And he was brought a bird, so he flipped it, then he said: 'What is hunted from hunting and what is cut from a tree except by what you have wasted of glorification.'
وَلَمَّاAnd whenاحْتَضَرَhe was on his deathbedقَالَhe saidلِعَائِشَةَto AishaيَاOبِنْيَةَmy daughterإِنِّيindeed Iأصَبْتُhave acquiredمِنْfromمَالِthe wealthالمُسْلِمِينَof the Muslimsهَذِهِthisالْعَبَاءَةَcloakوَهَذَاand thisالْحَلَّابَةَmilking deviceوَهَذَاand thisالْعَبْدَslaveفَأَسْرِعِيso hurryبِهِwith itإِلَىtoابْنِthe sonالْخَطَّابِAl-Khattab
And when he was on his deathbed, he said to Aisha: 'O my daughter, indeed I have acquired from the wealth of the Muslims this cloak, and this milking device, and this slave, so hurry with it to the son of Al-Khattab.'
وَقَالَAnd he saidوَاللَّهِBy AllahلَوَدِدْتُI wishأَنِّيthat Iكُنْتُwasهَذِهِthisالشَّجَرَةَtreeتُؤْكَلُto be eatenوَتُعْضَدُand to be cut down!
And he said: 'By Allah, I wish that I was this tree, to be eaten and to be cut down!'
وَقَالَAnd it was saidقَتَادَةُby Qatadahبَلَغَنِيit has been reported to meأَنَّthatأَبَاAbuبَكْرٍBakrقَالَsaidوَدِدْتُI wishأَنِّيthat Iخَضِرَةٌwere a green plantتَأْكُلُنِيthat eats meالدَّوَابُّthe animals
And it was said by Qatadah that it has been reported to me that Abu Bakr said: 'I wish that I were a green plant that the animals eat.'
وَهَذَاAnd thisعُمَرُOmarابْنُson ofالْخَطَّابِAl-Khattabقَرَأَreadسُورَةَthe chapterالطُّورِAl-Turحَتَّىuntilبَلَغَhe reachedإِنَّIndeedعَذَابَthe punishmentرَبِّكَof your Lordتَوَقَّعُis bound to occurالطُّورَthe mountain:: فَبَكَىSo he weptوَاشْتَدَّand his weeping increasedبِكَائُهُhis cryingحَتَّىuntilمَرِضَhe fell illوَعَادَوْهُand they visited him
And this is Omar Ibn Al-Khattab who read the chapter of Al-Tur until he reached: 'Indeed, the punishment of your Lord is bound to occur', so he wept, and his weeping increased until he fell ill, and they visited him.
أَخْرَجَهُNarratedأَحْمَدُby Ahmadفِيinالزُّهْدِasceticismالْعَبَاءَةَ(566).:: الْحَلَّابَةَthe milking deviceوَالمَحْلَبَand the milking toolالْإِنَاءَthe containerالَّذِيwhichيُحْلَبُis used for milkingفِيهِin itاللَّبَنَmilkالنِّهَايَةُ(421/1).
Narrated by Ahmad in asceticism (566). The milking device and the milking tool is the container which is used for milking milk (end of 421/1).

سَS:: سُورَةٌA chapterفِيهَاin theالطُّورِmountainوَقَدْand it hasسَقَطَfallenالطُّورُthe mountainمِنْfromلَthe text.
S: A chapter in which is the mountain. And the mountain has fallen from the text.
فَThenزZ:: بَكَىhe wept.
Then Z: he wept.
لَمْNotأَقِفْI foundعَلَيْهِon itلَكِنْbutأَخْرَجَnarratedابْنُby Ibnأَبِيthe father ofالدُّنْيَاthe worldفِيinالرُّقَّةِsoftnessوَالبُكَاءِand weeping(100)(100)
Not I found on it but narrated by Ibn Abi Al-Dunya in softness and weeping (100).
قَالَHe said:: الشَّعْبِيُّAl-ShaabiسَمِعَheardعُمَرُOmarابْنُthe son ofالْخَطَّابِAl-Khattabرَجُلًاa manيَقْرَأُreadingإِنَّIndeedعَذَابَthe punishmentرَبِّكَof your Lordلَوَقِعٌis bound to occurمَاwhatلَهُمْfor themمِنْfromدَافِعٍdefender
He said: Al-Shaabi heard Omar Ibn Al-Khattab read a man saying: 'Indeed, the punishment of your Lord is bound to occur, what for them is a defender.'
فَجَعَلَSo he beganيَبْكِيto weepحَتَّىuntilاشْتَدَّit increasedبِكَائُهُhis weepingثُمَّthenخَرَّhe fellيَضْطَرِبُshaking.
So he began to weep until his weeping increased, then he fell shaking.
فَقِيلَAnd it was said to himلَهُto himفِيaboutذَٰلِكَthatفَقَالَhe saidدَعُونِيleave meفَإِنِّيfor Iسَمِعْتُheardقَسَمَa portionحَقٍّof truthمِنْfromرَبِّيmy LordقُلْتُI said
And it was said to him about that, and he said: 'Leave me, for I heard a portion of truth from my Lord, I said.'
وَالشَّعْبِيُّAnd Al-Shaabiلَمْdid notيُدْرِكْreachعُمَرَOmarابْنَthe son ofالْخَطَّابِAl-Khattab
And Al-Shaabi did not reach Omar Ibn Al-Khattab.
وَفِيAnd inالرِّوَايَةِthe narrationنُكُورٌthere is strangenessفَلَمْso it did notيثْبُتْestablishعَنْfromالْصَّحَابَةِthe companionsالسُّقُوطِof collapsingوَالصَّعْقِand faintingوَالْغَشِيِّand loss of consciousnessعِندَatسَمَاعِhearingالْقُرْءَانِthe Quran,, وَإِنَّمَاbutوَقَعَoccurredهَذَاthisفِيمَنْin thoseبَعْدَهُمafter themبِقَلَّةٍin few occasionsوَكَثُرَand became frequentفِيinالْمُتَأَخِّرِينَthe later generations.
And in the narration, there is strangeness, so it did not establish that the companions experienced collapsing, fainting, and loss of consciousness upon hearing the Quran, but this occurred in few occasions among those after them, and it became frequent in the later generations.
وَحَالُAnd the stateالنَّبِيِّof the Prophetوَالصَّحَابَةِand the companionsأَكْمَلُis more completeوَأَفْصَلُand superior... وَقَدْAnd it hasنَبَّهَbeen emphasizedعَلَىonذَٰلِكَthat
And the state of the Prophet and the companions is more complete and superior. And it has been emphasized on that.
