يَسْمَعُهَاHe hears itكُلُّeveryشَيْءٍthingإِلَّاexcept«الثَّقَلَيْنِ»the two heavy things
Everything hears it except the 'two heavy things'.
قَالَHe saidالْبَرَاءُAl-BaraثُمَّThenيَفْتَحُhe opensلَهُfor himبَابًa doorإِلَىtoالنَّارِthe fire
Al-Bara said, then a door will be opened for him to the fire,
وَيُمَهِّدُand he preparesلَهُfor himمِنْfromفُرُشٍthe cushionsالنَّارِof the fire
And he prepares for him cushions from the fire.
وَفِيAnd inالْمُسْنَدِthe Musnadأَيْضًاalsoعَنْهُfrom himقَالَhe saidبَيْنَمَاwhileنَحْنُweمَعَwithرَسُولِthe Messengerاللَّهِof Allahﷺ(peace be upon him)
And in the Musnad also, he said: while we were with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him),
إِذْwhenبَصُرَhe sawبِجَمَاعَةٍa groupفَقَالَhe saidعَلَامَwhat areاجْتَمَعَgatheredهَـٰؤُلَاءِ؟these?
when he saw a group, he said: What are these gathered for?
قِيلَIt was saidعَلَىthat they are onقَبْرٍa graveيَحْفِرُونَهُthey are digging.
They said: for a grave they are digging.
فَفَزِعَThen he was alarmedرَسُولُthe Messengerاللَّهِof Allah(٣)(3)
Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was alarmed.
فَبَدَرَAnd he rushedبَيْنَbetweenيَدَيْthe hands ofأَصْحَابِهِhis companionsمُسْرِعًاhastilyحَتَّىuntilانْتَهَىhe reachedإِلَىtoالْقَبْرِ،the grave,
And he rushed hastily between the hands of his companions until he reached the grave,
فَجَثَاhe kneltعَلَىonرُكْبَتَيْهِ،his knees,فَاسْتَقْبَلَتْهُthen I faced himمِنtoبَيْنِbetweenيَدَيْهِhis handsلِأَنْظُرَto seeمَاwhatيَصْنَعُ .he does.
and he knelt on his knees, then I faced him to see what he was doing.
فَبَكَىHe weptحَتَّىuntilبَلَّتْthe soilالْثَّرَىhas become wetمِنfromدُمُوعِهِ،his tears,
He wept until the soil became wet from his tears,
ثُمَّthenأَقْبَلَhe turnedعَلَيْنَاto usفَقَالَ:and he said:«أَيُّOإِخْوَانِي،my brothers,لِمِثْلِfor suchهَذَاa dayفَأَعِدُّوا .prepare yourselves.
Then he turned to us and said: 'O my brothers, prepare yourselves for such a day.'

(2) And he reported Ibn Majah (4195), and al-Bukhari in his great history (229/1)...
وَغَيْرَهُمْand othersمِنْfromطَرِيقِthe pathعَبْدِاللَّهِAbdullahبْنbinوَاقِدٍWaqidعَنaboutمُحَمَّدٍMuhammadبْنbinمَالِكٍMalikعَنْaboutالْبَرَاءِal-BaraبْنbinعَازِبٍAzibفَذَكَرَهُ.and mentioned it.
And others from the path of Abdullah bin Waqid about Muhammad bin Malik about al-Bara bin Azib, and he mentioned it.
قُلْتُI said:عَبْدِاللَّهِAbdullahبْنbinوَاقِدٍWaqidهُوَisأَبُوthe father ofرَجَاءٍRajaالْخُرَاسَانِيِّal-Khurasani
I said: Abdullah bin Waqid is the father of Raja al-Khurasani.
قَالَHe saidابْنIbnعَدِي:Adiy: وَلِعَبْدِاللَّهِAnd to AbdullahبْنbinوَاقِدٍWaqidهَذَاthisغَيْرُother thanمَاwhatذَكَرْتُ،I mentioned,وَلَيْسَand he is notبِالكَثِيرِ.much.
Ibn Adiy said: And this Abdullah bin Waqid is other than what I mentioned, and he is not much.
وَهُوَAnd he isمُظْلَمٌobscureالْحَدِيثُ،the narration,وَلَمْand I did notأَرَfindلِلْمُتَقَدِّمِينَfor the early onesفِيin itكَلَامًاany talkفَأَذْكُرُهُso I mention it.
And he is obscure in the narration, and I did not find any talk about him from the early ones, so I will mention it.
قُلْتُI said:قَالَHe saidأَحْمَدُAhmadوَابْنand IbnمَعِينٍMa'inوَأَبُوand AbuدَاوُدَDawoodفِيinرِوَايَةٍ:the narration:ثِقَةٌ.Trustworthy.
I said: Ahmad and Ibn Ma'in and Abu Dawood in narration: Trustworthy.
وَقَالَAnd he saidابْنIbnمَعِينٍMa'in–-فِيinرِوَايَةٍthe narrationوَأَبُوand AbuدَاوُدَDawoodوَأَبُوand AbuزُرْعَةَZuraوَالْنَّسَائِيand al-Nasaiلَيْسَis notبِهِin himبَأْسٌ.any issue.
And Ibn Ma'in - in narration - and Abu Dawood and Abu Zura and al-Nasai said: there is no issue in him.
اِنْظُرْLookالْكَامِلَal-Kamal(٢٥٥٤(2554وَتَهْذِيبَand Tahdhibالْكَمَالِal-Kamal(١٦(16٢٥٥255–-٢٥٦).256).
Look at al-Kamal (2554) and Tahdhib al-Kamal (16, 255-256).
وَأَيْضًاAnd alsoمُحَمَّدٌMuhammadبْنbinمَالِكٍMalikهُوَisأَبُوthe father ofالْمُغِيرَةِal-Mughiraالْجَوْزَجَانِيal-Jawzajaniمَوْلَىthe freed slave ofالْبَرَاءِal-Baraبْنbinعَازِبٍ.Azib.
And also Muhammad bin Malik is the father of al-Mughira al-Jawzajani, the freed slave of al-Bara bin Azib.
قَالَHe saidفِيهِabout himأَبُوAbuحَاتِمٍHatimالرَّازِي:al-Razi:لَاnoبَأْسَissueبِهِin himوَذَكَرَهُand mentioned itابْنIbnحِبَّانِHibbanفِيinالثِّقَاتِthe trusted
Abu Hatim al-Razi said about him: there is no issue in him; and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in the trusted.
وَقَالَ:And he said:«لَمْhe did notيَسْمَعْhearمِنfromالْبَرَاءِal-BaraبْنbinعَازِبٍAzibشَيْئًا».anything.'
And he said: 'He did not hear anything from al-Bara bin Azib.'
وَذَكَرَهُAnd he mentioned itأَيْضًاalsoفِيinالْمَجْرُوحِينَthe weak (narrators)(٢٥٩/٢)(259/2)
And he also mentioned it in the weak (narrators) (259/2).
وَقَالَ:And he said: «يُخْطِىءُHe errsكَثِيرًا،often,لَاand does notيَجُوزُallowedالِاحْتِجَاجُto citeبِخَبَرِهِby his newsإِذاifانْفَرَدَhe is aloneلِسُلُوكِهِbecause he followsغَيْرَother thanمَسْلَكِthe wayالثِّقَاتِof the trustworthyفِيinالْأَخْبَارِ».the reports.'
And he said: 'He often errs, and it is not allowed to cite by his news if he is alone because he follows another way than that of the trustworthy in narrations.'
وَقَالَAnd he saidابْنIbnحَجَر:Hajar:صَدُوقٌHe is truthfulيُخْطِئُbut he errsكَثِيرًا»often.'
And Ibn Hajar said: 'He is truthful but he often errs.'
اِنْظُرْ:Look: تَهْذِيبِTahdhibالْكَمَالِal-Kamal(٣٥١/٢٦)(351/26)
Look: Tahdhib al-Kamal (351/26).
ف:So: فَفَزِعَthen he was alarmedالنَّبِيُّ.the Prophet.
So: Then the Prophet was alarmed.
