And do not prolong this chapter, for the need for it is severe for everyone.
فَرْقٌThere is a differenceبَيْنَbetweenحُسْنِgoodnessالظَّنِّof thoughtبِاللَّهِabout Allahوَبَيْنَand betweenالْغُرَّةِthe deceptionبِهِof Him
There is a difference between the goodness of thought about Allah and the deception of Him.
قَالَHe saidتَعَالَىthe Exalted::﴿﴿إِنَّIndeedالَّذِينَthose whoءَامَنُواْbelievedوَandالَّذِينَthose whoهَاجَرُواmigratedوَandجَهَدُواstruggledفِيinسَبِيلِthe path ofاللَّهِAllahأُوْلَـئكَThose areيَرْجُونَthey hope forرَحْمَتَthe mercy ofاللَّهِAllah﴾﴾
He the Exalted said: "Indeed, those who believed and those who migrated and struggled in the path of Allah, those are the ones who hope for the mercy of Allah."
فَجَعَلَSo He madeهَؤُلَاءِtheseأَهْلَthe people ofالرَّجَاءِhopeلَاnotالْبَطَّالِينَthe negligentوَandالْفَاسِقِينَthe sinful
So He made these the people of hope, not the negligent and the sinful.
وَقَالَAnd He saidتَعَالَىthe Exalted::﴿﴿ثُمَّThenإِنَّIndeedرَبَّكَyour Lordلِلَّذِينَfor those whoهَاجَرُواmigratedمِنْfromبَعْدِafterمَاwhatفُتِنُواthey were temptedثُمَّthenجَهَدُواthey strivedوَandصَبَرُواthey were patientإِنَّIndeedرَبَّكَyour Lordمِنْfromبَعْدِهَاafter thatلَغَفُورٌis surely ForgivingرَّحِيمٌMerciful﴾﴾
And He the Exalted said: "Then indeed, your Lord is for those who migrated after they were tempted, then strived and were patient, indeed your Lord after that is Forgiving, Merciful."
فَأَخْبَرَSo He informedسُبْحَانَهُHis Gloryأَنَّهُthat Heبَعْدَafterهَذِهِtheseالْأَشْيَاءِthingsغَفُورٌis Forgivingرَحِيمٌand Mercifulلِمَنto whomفَعَلَهَاdid them
So He informed, Glory be to Him, that after these things He is Forgiving and Merciful to those who did them.
فَالْعَالِمُSo the scholarيَضَعُplacesالرَّجَاءِhopeمَوَاضِعَهُin its rightful placesوَالْجَاهِلُ الْمُغْتَرُand the deceived ignorantيَضَعُهُplaces itفِيinغَيْرِother thanمَوَاضِعِهِits rightful places
So the scholar places hope in its rightful places, and the deceived ignorant places it in other than its rightful places.
