السُّنَّةُthe Sunnah(٢)(2),ومِنْهُمAnd among themمَنْwhoيُغتَرُّis deceivedبِفَهْمٍby an understandingفاسِدٍcorruptفَهْمِهِhis understanding(۱)(1)هُوَheوَأَضرَابُهُand his likesمِنْfromنُصُوصٍthe textsالْقُرْآنِof the QuranفَاتَّكِلُواSo they relyعَلَيْهِon itكَاتِّكَالِlike the relianceبَعْضِهِمof some of themعَلَىonقَوْلِهِhis sayingتَعَالَىthe Exalted﴿("وَلَسَوْفَand surelyيُعْطِيكَHe will give youرَبُّكَyour Lordفَتَرْضَىso you will be pleased).[الضُّحَى/ ٥][Al-Duha/ 5]قَالُواThey said(۳)(3):وَهُوَAnd heلاَdoes notيَرْضَىpleaseأَنْthatيَكُونَthere isفِيinالنَّارِthe fireأَحَدٌanyone(٤)(4)مِنْfromأُمَّتِهِhis nation!وَهَذَاAnd thisمِنْis one ofأَقْبَحِthe most heinousالْجَهْلِignoranceوَأَبْيَنَand the clearestالْكَذِبِlieعَلَيْهِ.against him.فَإِنَّهُFor indeed, heيَرْضَىis pleasedبِمَاwith whatيُرْضِيpleasesرَبَّهُhis Lordعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Mighty and Majestic.وَاللَّهُAnd Allahتَعَالَىthe Exaltedيُرْضِيهِwill please himتَعْذِيبَthe punishment ofالظَّالِمِينَthe oppressorsوَالْفُسَّاقِand the sinnersوَالْخَوَنةِand the traitorsوَالْمُصِرِّينَand the persistently sinfulعَلَىin committingالْكَبَائرِthe major sins.فَحَاشَاFar removedرَسُولَهُhis Messengerأَنْtoلاَnotيَرْضَىbe pleasedبِمَاwith whatيَرْضَىhis Lordبِهِ.with.(٦)(6).
And among them, there are those who are deceived by a corrupt understanding of his understanding, he and his likes from the texts of the Quran. So they rely on it like the reliance of some of them on His saying: "And surely your Lord will give you, and you will be pleased" (Al-Duha/ 5). They said: And he does not please that anyone from his nation be in the fire! And this is one of the most heinous ignorance and the clearest lie against him. For indeed, he is pleased with what pleases his Lord, the Mighty and Majestic; and Allah, the Exalted, will please him with the punishment of the oppressors, the sinners, the traitors, and the persistently sinful in committing the major sins. Far removed is his Messenger from being pleased with what his Lord is pleased with.
وَكَاتِّكَالِAnd like the relianceبَعْضِهِمof some of themعَلَىonقَوْلِهِhis sayingتَعَالَىthe Exalted﴿("إِنَّIndeedاللَّهَAllahيَغْفِرُforgivesالذُّنُوبَthe sinsجَمِيعًاall﴾[الزُّمَرِ/ ٥٣]﴾[Al-Zumar/ 53].وَهَذَاAnd thisأيضًاalsoمِنْis one ofأَقْبَحِthe most heinousالْجَهْلِignoranceفَإِنَّfor indeedالشِّرْكَthe associationدَاخِلٌis includedفِيinهَذِهِthisالْآيَةِverse,فَإِنَّهُfor indeed itرَأْسٌis the headالذُّنُوبِof sinsوَأَساسُهَاand its foundation.وَلَاand there is noخِلَافَdisagreementأَنَّthatهَذِهِthisالْآيَةُverseفِيis regardingحَقِّthe rightالتَّائِبِينَof the repenters,فَإِنَّهُfor indeed itيَغْفِرُforgivesكُلَّeveryذَنبٍsinلِلْتَّائِبِfor the repentant (one)()()أيanyذَنبٍsin.(۸)(8).وَلَوْAnd ifكَانَتْit wereالْآيَةُthe verseفِيforحَقِّthe rightغَيْرِnonالتَّائِبِينَrepenters,(1)(1)لَبَطَلَتْit would nullifyنُصُوصَthe textsالْوَعِيدِof warningكُلَّهَاall,وَأَحَادِيثَand the Hadithsإِخْرَاجَof bringing out(۱)(1)
And like the reliance of some of them on His saying: "Indeed, Allah forgives all sins" (Al-Zumar/ 53). And this is also one of the most heinous ignorance, for indeed the association is included in this verse; for indeed it is the head of all sins and its foundation. And there is no disagreement that this verse pertains to the repenters; for indeed Allah forgives every sin for the repentant (one), any sin it might be. And if the verse were regarding the non-repenters, it would nullify all texts of warning and the Hadiths about bringing out.
