لِأَنَّهُBecause itمُتَقَدِّمٌis advancedرُتْبَةً،in rank,

Because it is advanced in rank,

وَذَكَرَand he mentionedالضَّمِيرَthe pronoun

and he mentioned the pronoun

لِأَنَّbecauseالْمُرَادَthe intended meaningمِنَofالْفِدْيَةِthe ransom

because the intended meaning of the ransom

هُوَisالطَّعَامُ،food,

is food,

وَالْمُرَادُand the intended meaningمِنْهُ،from it,

and the intended meaning from it,

صَدَقَةُcharity ofالْفِطْرِ،al-Fitr,

is the charity of al-Fitr,

عَقَّبَfollowedاللَّهُAllah- تَعَالَى -- the Most High -الْأَمْرَthe commandبِالصِّيَامِof fasting

Allah - the Most High - followed the command of fasting

فِيinهَذِهِthisالْآيَةِverse

in this verse

بِصَدَقَةِwith the charity ofالْفِطْرِ،al-Fitr,

with the charity of al-Fitr,

كَمَاjust asعَقَّبَHe followedالْآيَةَthe verseالثَّانِيَةَsecond

just as He followed the second verse

بِتَكْبِيرَاتِwith the takbeerat ofالْعِيدِ.the Eid.

with the takbeerat of the Eid.

٣3- آيَةُ- Verse ofحِلِّlawfulness ofالرَّفَثِsexual relationsلَيْلَةَduring the night ofالصِّيَامِ:fasting:

3 - The verse of the lawfulness of sexual relations during the night of fasting:

وَقَوْلُهُAnd His saying- تَعَالَى -:- the Most High -:{أُحِلَّ{It has been made lawfulلَكُمْfor youلَيْلَةَthe night ofالصِّيَامِthe fastingالرَّفَثُsexual relationsإِلَىwithنِسَائِكُمْ}your wives}

And His saying - the Most High -: {It has been made lawful for you the night of fasting sexual relations with your wives}

نَاسِخَةٌis abrogatingلِقَوْلِهُHis saying- تَعَالَى -:- the Most High -:{كَمَا{Asكُتِبَit was prescribedعَلَىuponالَّذِينَthose whoمِنْfromقَبْلِكُمْ}before you}

is abrogating His saying - the Most High -: {As it was prescribed upon those who from before you}

لِأَنَّbecauseمُقْتَضَاهُits implicationالْمُوَافَقَةُis agreementفِيمَاin whatكَانَwasعَلَيْهِمْupon them

because its implication is agreement in what was upon them

مِنْofتَحْرِيمِprohibition ofالْأَكْلِeatingوَالْوَطْءِand sexual intercourseبَعْدَafterالنَّوْمِ،sleep,

of prohibition of eating and sexual intercourse after sleep,

ذَكَرَهُmentioned itابْنُIbnالْعَرَبِيِّ،al-Arabi,

Ibn al-Arabi mentioned it,

وَحَكَىand he relatedقَوْلًاanotherآخَرَsaying

and he related another saying

أَنَّهُthat itنُسِخَwas abrogatedلِمَاdue to whatكَانَwasبِالنِّسْبَةِ.relative.

that it was abrogated due to what was relative.

قُلْتُ:I said:مَعْنَىThe meaning of"كَمَا"Asكُتِبَ"it was prescribed"التَّشْبِيهُis the tashbeeh (comparison)فِيinنَفْسِthe veryالْوُجُوبِobligation

I said: The meaning of "As it was prescribed" is the comparison in the very obligation

فَلَاso thereنَسْخَis no abrogationإِنَّمَاratherهُوَit isتَغَيُّرٌa changeلِمَاfor whatكَانَwasعِنْدَهُمْwith themقَبْلَbeforeالشَّرْعِthe legislation

so there is no abrogation, rather it is a change for what was with them before the legislation

وَلَمْand we have notنَجِدْfoundدَلِيلًاany evidenceعَلَىthatأَنَّindeedالنَّبِيَّthe Prophet- صَلَّى- may Allah blessاللَّهُHim- عَلَيْهِand grant Himوَسَلَّمَpeaceشَرَعَlegislatedلَهُمْfor themذَلِكَ،that,

and we have not found any evidence that indeed the Prophet - may Allah bless Him and grant Him peace - legislated for them that,

وَلَوْand even ifسُلِّمَit were concededفَإِنَّمَاthen it was onlyكَانَthat which wasذَلِكَfixedثَابِتًاfirmlyبِالنِّسْبَةِrelatively

and even if it were conceded, then it was only firmly fixed relatively

(لَا(notأَنَّهُthat heشَرَعَهُlegislated itلَهُمْfor themوَأَمَرَهُمْand commanded themبِهِ).with it).

(not that he legislated it for them and commanded them with it).

٤4- آيَةُ- Verse ofالْقِتَالِfightingفِيinالشَّهْرِthe monthالْحَرَامِsacred

4 - Verse of fighting in the sacred month

وَقَوْلُهُAnd His saying- تَعَالَى -- the Most High -يَسْأَلُونَكَThey ask youعَنِaboutالشَّهْرِthe monthالْحَرَامِsacredقِتَالٍfightingفِيهِin itالْآيَةَ،the verse,

And His saying - the Most High - They ask you about the sacred month, fighting in it, the verse,

مَنْسُوخَةٌis abrogatedبِقَوْلِهِ:by His saying:{وَقَاتِلُوا{And fightالْمُشْرِكِينَthe polytheistsكَافَّةً}all together}الْآيَةَ.the verse.

is abrogated by His saying: {And fight the polytheists all together} the verse.

أَخْرَجَهُExtracted itابْنُIbnجَرِيرٍJarirعَنْfromعَطَاءِAtaaبْنِson ofمَيْسَرَةَ.Maisarah.

Ibn Jarir extracted it from Ataa bin Maisarah.

قُلْتُ:I said:هَذِهِthisالْآيَةُverseلَاdoes notتَدُلُّindicateعَلَىonتَحْرِيمِthe prohibition ofالْقِتَالِ،fighting,

I said: this verse does not indicate the prohibition of fighting,

بَلْratherتَدُلُّit indicatesعَلَىupon
