أُسْلُوبُMethodالْقُرْآنِof the QuranالْكَرِيمِNobleفِيinالتَّذَكُّرِremindingبِأَيَّامِby the daysاللَّهِ:of Allah:
The method of the Noble Quran in reminding of the days of Allah:
أَمَّاAs for"أَيَّامُ"the daysاللَّهِ"of Allah"
As for "the days of Allah"
وَهِيَand theyتِلْكَare thoseالْوَقَائِعُeventsوَالْحَوَادِثُand incidents
and they are those events and incidents
الَّتِيwhichأَوْجَدَهَاbrought aboutاللَّهُAllah- تَعَالَى -- the Exalted -
which Allah - the Exalted - brought about
إِنْعَاماًas a blessingعَلَىuponالْمُطِيعِينَthe obedient ones
as a blessing upon the obedient ones
وَانْتِقَاماًand as retributionمِنَfromالْعُصَاةِthe disobedientالْمُجْرِمِينَ -criminals -
and as retribution from the disobedient criminals -
فَقَدِso indeedاخْتَارَHe choseمِنْهَاfrom themأَيْضاًalso
so He also chose from them
مَاwhatقَرَعَتْhad struckأَسْمَاعَهُمْtheir earsمِنْfromقَبْلُ،before,
what had struck their ears before,
وَكَانُواand theyقَدْhadسَمِعُواheardقِصَصاًstoriesبِصُورَةٍin aإِجْمَالِيَّةٍ،general manner,
and they had heard stories in a general manner,
مِثْلَlikeقِصَصِthe stories ofقَوْمِthe people ofنُوحٍ،Noah,
like the stories of the people of Noah,
وَعَادٍand Aadوَثَمُودَ،and Thamud,
and Aad and Thamud,
الَّتِيwhichكَانَwereالْعَرَبُthe Arabsيَسْمَعُونَهَاhearing itوَيَتَدَاوَلُونَهَاand passing it downفِيمَاamongبَيْنَهُمْthemselves
which the Arabs used to hear and pass down among themselves
كَابِراًgenerationعَنْafterكَابِرٍgeneration
generation after generation
وَقِصَصِand the stories ofسَيِّدِنَاour masterإِبْرَاهِيمَAbraham- عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ -- upon him be peace -
and the stories of our master Abraham - upon him be peace -
وَقِصَصِand the stories ofأَنْبِيَاءِthe prophets ofبَنِيthe Children ofإِسْرَائِيلَIsrael
and the stories of the prophets of the Children of Israel
الَّتِيwhichأَلِفَتْهَاhad become familiar toأَسْمَاعُهُمْtheir ears
which had become familiar to their ears
لِطُولِdue to the length ofاخْتِلَاطِmixing ofالْعَرَبِthe Arabsمَعَwithالْيَهُودِ،the Jews,
due to the long association of the Arabs with the Jews,
وَلَمْand did notيَتَعَرَّضِaddressالْقُرْآنُthe QuranالْكَرِيمُNobleلِلْقِصَصِthe storiesالْغَرِيبَةِstrange
and the Noble Quran did not address strange stories
وَلَاnorلِقِصَصِthe stories ofعَذَابِthe punishment ofاللَّهِAllah- تَعَالَى -- the Exalted -
nor the stories of the punishment of Allah - the Exalted -
أَوْorثَوَابِهِHis rewardلِلْفُرْسِfor the Persiansوَالْهُنُودِand the Indians
or His reward for the Persians and the Indians,
كَمَاjust asأَنَّهُitلَمْdid notيَذْكُرْmentionمِنَofالْقِصَصِthe storiesالْمَشْهُورَةِfamous
just as it did not mention of the famous stories
إِلَّاexceptالْأَجْزَاءَthe partsالضَّرُورِيَّةَnecessaryالَّتِيwhichتَنْفَعُare usefulفِيinالتَّذْكِيرِthe reminderوَالْمَوْعِظَةِ،and the admonition,
except the necessary parts that are useful in reminder and admonition,
وَلَمْand it did notيَسْتَقْصِexhaustجَمِيعَallالتَّفَاصِيلِthe detailsالْخَاصَّةِspecificالَّتِيwhichتَشْمَلُcompriseعَلَيْهَاthemالْقِصَصُ.the stories.
and it did not exhaust all the specific details which the stories comprise.
[حِكْمَةُ[The wisdom ofهَذَاthisالْأُسْلُوبِmethodالْقُرْآنِيِّ:]Quranic:]
[The wisdom of this Quranic method:]
وَالِاكْتِفَاءُAnd the sufficiencyبِالْأَجْزَاءِwith the partsالْمُهِمَّةِimportantمِنَofالْقِصَّةِthe story
And the sufficiency with the important parts of the story
وَالتَّحَاشِيand avoidingعَنْofغَرَائِبِstrangeالْقِصَصِstoriesوَالتَّفَاصِيلِand the detailsالْجُزْئِيَّةِ،fragmentary,
and avoiding strange stories and fragmentary details,
هِيَisأَنَّthatالْعَامَّةَthe general publicمِنَofالنَّاسِpeople
is that the general public of people
عِنْدَمَاwhenيَسْمَعُونَthey hearحِكَايَةًa taleغَرِيبَةًstrangeأَوْorقِصَّةًa storyكَامِلَةًcomplete
when they hear a strange tale or a complete story
بِجَمِيعِwith allخُصُوصِيَّاتِهَاits particularsوَفُصُولِهَا،and its chapters,
with all its particulars and chapters,
فَإِنَّthenطِبَاعَهُمْtheir naturesتَمِيلُleanإِلَىtowardsنَفْسِthe veryالْقِصَّةِstoryوَتُولَعُand become infatuatedبِهَا،with it,
then their natures lean towards the story itself and become infatuated with it,
وَيَفُوتُand is missedالْغَرَضُthe purposeالْأَسَاسِيُّbasic- وَهْوَ- and it isالتَّذْكِيرُ -the reminder -
and the basic purpose - which is the reminder - is missed
مِنْfromبَيَانِthe presentation ofالْقِصَّةِthe storyالَّذِيwhichيَهْدِفُaimsإِلَيْهِat itالْقُرْآنُthe Quranالْكَرِيمُ.Noble.
from the presentation of the story which the Noble Quran aims at.
