نَمَاذِجُModelsالْمُنَافِقِينَof the hypocritesفِيinهَذَاthisالْعَصْرِ:era:
Models of the hypocrites in this era:
وَإِنْAnd ifكُنْتَyou areتُحِبُّfondأَنْofتُشَاهِدَwitnessingنَمُوذَجاًan exampleلَهَؤُلَاءِof theseالْمُنَافِقِينَhypocrites
And if you wish to witness an example of these hypocrites
فَاشْهَدْthen observeفِيinمَجَالِسِthe gatheringsالْأُمَرَاءِ،of the rulers,
then observe in the gatherings of the rulers,
أَصْحَابَهُمْtheir companionsوَنُدَمَاءَهُمُand their drinking companionsالَّذِينَwhoيُؤْثِرُونَpreferرِضَاthe pleasureأُمَرَائِهِمْof their rulersعَلَىoverرِضَاthe pleasureاللَّهِof Allah- تَعَالَى -- the Exalted -
their companions and associates who prefer the pleasure of their rulers over the pleasure of Allah - the Exalted -
وَلَاand there isفَرْقَno differenceإِطْلَاقاًwhatsoeverبَيْنَbetweenالْمُنَافِقِينَthe hypocritesالَّذِينَwhoسَمِعُواheardأَحَادِيثَthe sayingsالرَّسُولِof the Messenger- صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ -- peace and blessings be upon him -مُبَاشَرَةًdirectly
and there is no difference whatsoever between the hypocrites who heard the sayings of the Messenger - peace be upon him - directly
ثُمَّthenنَافَقُواhypocritizedوَبَيْنَand betweenهَؤُلَاءِtheseالْمُنَافِقِينَhypocritesالْآنَnowالَّذِينَwhoيَطَّلِعُونَlearnعَلَىaboutأَحْكَامِthe rulingsالشَّرِيعَةِof the ShariaالْإِسْلَامِيَّةِIslamicبِالْوَسَائِطِthrough meansالْيَقِينِيَّةِcertainالْقَاطِعَةِand decisive
and between these hypocrites now who learn about the rulings of the Islamic Sharia through certain and decisive means
ثُمَّthenيُخَالِفُونَهَاthey violate themوَيَنْحَرِفُونَand deviateعَنْهَا.from them.
then violate them and deviate from them.
نِفَاقُHypocrisyالْمَنَاطِقَةِof the logiciansوَالْفَلَاسِفَةِ:and philosophers:
Hypocrisy of the logicians and philosophers:
كَذَلِكَLikewiseطَائِفَةُthe sectالْمَنَاطِقَةِof logiciansوَالْفَلَاسِفَةِand philosophersالَّذِينَwhoبُذِرَتْwere sownفِيinقُلُوبِهِمْtheir heartsبُذُورُseedsالشُّكُوكِof doubts
Likewise, the sect of logicians and philosophers in whose hearts the seeds of doubts were sown
وَتَمَكَّنَتْand took holdمِنْهُمْof themكَثِيرٌmanyمِنَofالشُّبُهَاتِ،the suspicions,وَنَسُواand they forgotالدَّارَthe abodeالْآخِرَةَ،of the Hereafter,
and many suspicions took hold of them, and they forgot the Hereafter,
هُمْtheyأَيْضاًalsoمِنَare amongالْمُنَافِقِينَthe hypocritesمِنْwithoutدُونِanyشَكٍّ.doubt.
they too are among the hypocrites without a doubt.
الْقُرْآنُThe Quranكِتَابُis a bookكُلِّfor everyعَصْرٍ:era:
The Quran is a book for every era:
وَعَلَىAnd inكُلِّ،any case,فَإِنَّهُverilyلَاit isيَنْبَغِيnot fittingأَنْthatيُظَنَّit be thoughtعِنْدَuponتِلَاوَةِrecitingالْقُرْآنِthe Quranالْكَرِيمِ،the Noble,
And in any case, it should not be thought upon reciting the Noble Quran,
أَنَّthatجِدَالَهُits debateوَمُحَاجَّتَهُand its argumentكَانَاwereمَعَwithأُنَاسٍpeopleقَدِwho haveانْتَهَوْاendedوَانْقَضَوْا،and passed away,
that its debate and arguments were with people who have ended and passed away,
كَلَّا،never,بَلْratherإِنَّهُit isبِحُكْمِby virtue ofمَاwhatجَاءَcameفِيinالْحَدِيثِ:the hadith:"لَتَتْبَعُنَّ"You will surely followسُنَنَthe ways ofمَنْthoseكَانَwho wereقَبْلَكُمْbefore youإِلَخ".etc."
never, rather by virtue of what came in the hadith: "You will surely follow the ways of those who were before you, etc."
لَيْسَتْThere is notهُنَاhereمِنْfromفِتْنَةٍany trialكَانَتْthat wasفِيinعَهْدِthe eraالرِّسَالَةِof the message- صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى صَاحِبِهَا وَسَلَّمَ -- peace and blessings be upon its bearer -
There is not a single trial here that occurred in the era of the message - peace and blessings be upon its bearer -
إِلَّاexceptوَلَهَاand it hasنَمَاذِجُmodelsوَأَمْثِلَةٌand examplesفِيinعَصْرِنَاour eraهَذَا،this,وَلِذَلِكَand therefore
except that it has models and examples in this our era of ours, and therefore
