ثَلَاثَةُThreeأَجْزَاءٍparts
Three parts
تَتَغَايَرُvaryمِنْfromبَعْضِsomeالْوُجُوهِ،aspects,
vary in some aspects,
وَتَتَحِدُand uniteمِنْinبَعْضٍsomeآخَرَ،other,
and unite in some other,
وَكَانُواand they wereيُسَمُّونَهَاcalling it"الْأَقَانِيمَ"the hypostasesالثَّلَاثَةَ"three"
and they were calling it "the three hypostases"
أَحَدُهَا:one of them:الْأَبُthe Fatherالَّذِيwhoيَحْتَلُّoccupiesمَكَانَةَthe status of"مَبْدَأِ"the principle ofالْعَالَمِ"،the world",
one of them: the Father who occupies the status of "the principle of the world",
وَالثَّانِي:and the second:الْإِبْنُ،the Son,
and the second: the Son,
وَهُوَand he isبِمَعْنَىin the sense of"الصَّادِرِ"the first emanationالْأَوَّلِ"first"الَّذِيwhichيَعْنِيmeansالْكُلِّيَّthe universalالْعَامَّgeneralالشَّامِلَcomprehensiveلِجَمِيعِfor allالْمَوْجُودَاتِ،existences,
and he is in the sense of "the first emanation" which means the general universal comprehensive of all existences,
وَالثَّالِثُ:and the third:أُقْنُومُhypostasis ofرُوحِspirit ofالْقُدُسِ،holiness,وَهُوَand itيَعْنِيmeans"الْعُقُولَ"the abstractالْمُجَرَّدَةَ".intellects".
and the third: hypostasis of the Holy Spirit, and it means "the abstract intellects".
أُقْنُومُHypostasis of"الْإِبْنِ""the Son"تَقَمَّصَincarnatedالْمَسِيحَthe Messiah- عَلَيْهِ- upon himالسَّلَامُ -:peace -:
Hypostasis of "the Son" incarnated the Messiah - peace be upon him -:
وَكَانُواand they wereيَعْتَقِدُونَbelievingأَنَّthatأُقْنُومَhypostasis ofالْإِبْنِthe Sonتَقَمَّصَincarnatedرُوحَspirit ofالْمَسِيحِthe Messiah- عَلَيْهِ- upon himالسَّلَامُ -peace -
And they believed that the hypostasis of the Son incarnated the spirit of the Messiah - peace be upon him -
أَيْmeaningأَنَّthatالْمَلَكَthe angelجِبْرِيلَGabrielكَمَاjust asكَانَhe wasيَأْتِيcoming- أَحْيَاناً -- sometimes -فِيinصُورَةِform ofرَجُلٍ،a man,
meaning that the angel Gabriel just as he used to come - sometimes - in the form of a man,
كَذَلِكَlikewiseظَهَرَappeared"الْإِبْنُ""the Son"فِيinصُورَةِform ofعِيسَى،Jesus,
likewise "the Son" appeared in the form of Jesus,
وَلِذَلِكَand thereforeفَهُوَhe is"الْإِلَهُ""the God"أَيْضاً،also,
and therefore he is "the God" also,
وَهُوَand he is"ابْنُ"son ofاللَّهِ"God"كَذَلِكَ،likewise,
and he is "the Son of God" likewise,
وَهُوَand he isالْبَشَرُthe humanأَيْضاً،also,
and he is the human also,
وَتَجْرِيand applyبِالنِّسْبَةِwith respectإِلَيْهِto himالْأَحْكَامُthe rulingsالْبَشَرِيَّةُhumanوَالْأَحْكَامُand the rulingsالْإِلَهِيَّةُdivineعَلَىonالسَّوَاءِ.equal terms.
and human rulings and divine rulings apply to him equally.
دَلِيلُEvidence ofهَذِهِthisالْعَقِيدَةِbeliefالْبَاطِلَةِ:false:
Evidence of this false belief:
وَقَدْand indeedاسْتَنَدُواthey reliedفِيinاسْتِنْبَاطِderivation ofهَذِهِthisالْعَقِيدَةِbeliefالْغَرِيبَةِstrangeإِلَىuponبَعْضِsomeالْآيَاتِversesفِيinالْإِنْجِيلِthe Gospelالَّتِيwhichذُكِرَwas mentionedفِيهَاin itلَفْظُword"الْإِبْنِ""the Son"
And they relied in deriving this strange belief upon some verses in the Gospel in which the word "the Son" was mentioned
وَالْآيَاتِand the versesالَّتِيwhichنَسَبَattributedفِيهَاin itالْمَسِيحُthe Messiah- عَلَيْهِ- upon himالسَّلَامُ -peace -بَعْضَsomeأَفْعَالِactions ofاللَّهِGod- تَعَالَى -- Most High -إِلَىtoنَفْسِهِ.himself.
and the verses in which the Messiah - peace be upon him - attributed some of the actions of God - Most High - to himself.
