الثَّلَاثَةُThirdالصِّدْقُTruthfulnessالْمُنَافِيwhich contradictsلِلْكَذِبِfalsehoodالْمَانِعُand preventsمِنَfromالنِّفَاقِhypocrisy
Third: Truthfulness, which contradicts falsehood and prevents hypocrisy.
فَإِنَّForالْمُنَافِقِينَthe hypocritesيَقُولُونَهَاsay itبِأَلْسِنَتِهِمْwith their tonguesغَيْرَwhile notمُعْتَقِدِينَbelievingلِمَدْلُولِهَاin its implication
For the hypocrites say it with their tongues while not believing in its implication.
وَثَبَتَAnd it is establishedفِيinالصَّحِيحَيْنِthe two Sahihsعَنْon the authority ofأَنَسِAnasبْنِson ofمَالِكٍMalikرَضِيَmay Allah be pleasedاللَّهُwith Himعَنْهُwith him
And it is established in the two Sahihs on the authority of Anas ibn Malik, may Allah be pleased with him,
عَنِfromالنَّبِيِّthe Prophetصَلَّىmay Allahاللَّهُbless himعَلَيْهِand grant himوَسَلَّمَpeace
from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace:
مَنْWhoeverأَحَدٌnoneيَشْهَدُtestifiesأَنْthatلَاnoإِلَهَdeityإِلَّاexceptاللَّهُAllah
"None testifies that there is no deity except Allah
وَأَنَّand thatمُحَمَّدًاMuhammadرَسُولُis the Messenger ofاللَّهِAllah
and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah,
صِدْقًاtruthfullyمِنْfromقَلْبِهِhis heart
truthfully from his heart,
إِلَّاexcept thatحَرَّمَهُHe forbids himاللَّهُAllahعَلَىtoالنَّارِthe Fire.
except that Allah forbids him from the Fire."
