لَـكِنَbutبِنْيَامِينBenjaminكَانَwasيَنْظُرُlookingإِلَىatالرَّجُلَيْنِthe two menوَهُمَاwhile theyيُحَاوِلَانِwere tryingبِتَرْكِيزٍwith focus
But Benjamin was looking at the two men while they were trying with focus.
ثَابِتٍSteadyكَانَاthey wereيُحَاوِلَانِtryingبِوَاسِطَةِbyالْمِطْرَقَةِthe hammerوَالْقَضِيبِand the rodالْحَدِيدِيَّiron

إِحْدَاثَto createثُقْبٍa holeفِيinقَاعِدَةِthe baseالطَّاحُونَةِof the millبِبُطْءٍslowly
To create a hole in the base of the mill slowly.
حَرَّكَmovedبِنْيَامِينBenjaminأَنْفَهُhis noseالطَّوِيلَthe longكَماasلَوْifأَنَّthatالْمَشْهَدَsceneرَاقَهُpleased him,,وَقَالَand said::أَشْكُI doubtفِيinذَٰلِكَthat
Benjamin moved his long nose as if the scene pleased him, and said: "I doubt that."

كَانَتِThe animals wereتَنْتَظِرُwaitingوَهِيَwhile they wereمَرْعُوبَةًterrified
The animals were waiting while they were terrified.
كَيْفَHowسَتَسْتَطِيعُwill she be ableالْمُغامَرَةَthe adventureوَالْخُرُوجَand to get outمِنْfromمَخْبَئِهَاher hiding place؟?

وَبَعْدَAfterبِضْعَa fewدَقَائِقَminutesجَاءَcameالرِّجَالُthe menيَجْرُونَrunningمِنْfromكُلِّallالاتِّجَاهَاتِdirectionsثُمَّthenسَمِعَhe heardدَوِيًّاa roarيَصُمُّdeafeningالْآذَانَthe ears.
After a few minutes, the men came running from all directions, and then he heard a deafening roar.
فَطَارَتِAnd the dove flewالْحَمَامُthe pigeonsمُرَفْرِفَةًflutteringفِيinالْأَعَالِيthe heights
And the dove flew fluttering in the heights.
كُلُّAllالْحَيَوَانَاتِthe animalsالْأُخْرَىotherبِاسْتِثْنَاءِexceptنَابُلْيُونNapoleon,,انْبَطَحَتْflattened downعَلَىonالْأَرْضِthe ground,,مُخْبِئَةًhidingرُؤُوسَهَاtheir headsوَعِنْدَمَاand whenنَهَضَتْshe got up,,شَاهَدَتْshe sawغَيْمَةًa cloudكَبِيرَةًbigالدُّخَانِof smokeالسَّوْدَاءِblackتُغَطِّيcoveringالمَكَانَthe placeالَّذِيthatبُنِيَتْwas builtفِيهِin it
All the other animals, except Napoleon, flattened down on the ground, hiding their heads, and when she got up, she saw a big cloud of black smoke covering the place that was built in it.
شَيْئًاGraduallyفَشَيْئًاand graduallyبَدَّدَتْdissipatedالرَّوَاحَةَthe airالسُّحُبَthe cloud
Gradually, the air dissipated the cloud.
لَقَدْIt hadاخْتَفَتْdisappearedالطَّاحُونَةُthe millعَنْfromالْوُجُودِexistence
The mill had disappeared from existence.
اِسْتَعَادَتِThe animals regainedالْحَيَوَانَاتِthe animalsشَجَاعَتَهَاtheir courageعِنْدَمَاwhenرَأَتْthey sawذَٰلِكَthat
The animals regained their courage when they saw that.
وَاخْتَفَتْAnd the feelingsمَشَاعِرُof emotionsالْخَوْفِof fearوَالْيَأْسِand despairالَّتِيthatاعْتَرَتْهُمthey were with themقَبْلَbeforeلَحَظَاتٍmomentsوَحَلَّتْand were replacedمَكَانَهَاin place of itغَضَبٌby rageجُنُونِيٌّinsaneضِدَّagainstهَذَاthisالْعَمَلِworkالْخَسِيسِdespicable.
And the feelings of fear and despair that were with them moments before were replaced by insane anger against this despicable work.
وَانْطَلَقَتْAnd a terrifying screamصَرَاخٌof screamingمَهُولٌterribleيَطَالِبُdemandingبِالْاِنْتِقَامِrevenge,,وَمِنْAnd withoutاِنْتِظَارٍwaitingالْأَوَامِرِfor ordersانْقَضَّتِthe animals pouncedالْحَيَوَانَاتُthe animalsدَفْعَةًin a single chargeوَاحِدَةًoneعَلَىonالْعَدُوِّthe enemyكَانَتْasلَوْifأَنَّthatالرَّصَاصَةَthe bulletsالْوَابِلَةَrainوَالْكَثِيفَةَand denseفَوْقَaboveرُؤُوسِهَاtheir heads
And a terrifying scream demanding revenge broke out, and without waiting for orders, the animals pounced in a single charge on the enemy as if the bullet rain and dense above their heads meant nothing.
لَقَدْIt was aكَانَتْIt wasمُوَاجَهَةٌa confrontationشَرِسَةًfierceأُطْلِقَتْwhere the men firedفِيfireالْرِّجَالِthe menدَفْعَاتٍsalvos
It was a fierce confrontation where the men fired salvos.
