وَالتَّسْلِيمَاتِand the submissions-andوَمَوَاقِفِthe stances ofشُعُوبِهِمْtheir peoplesوَأَقْوَامِهِمْand their nationsمَعَهُمْwith them

and the submissions - and the stances of their peoples and nations with them.

٥5--عِلْمُThe science ofالتَّذْكِيرِremindingبِالْمَوْتِof deathوَمَاand whatبَعْدَis afterالْمَوْتِdeath

5 - The science of reminding of death and what is after death:

كَالْحَشْرِsuch as the gatheringوَالنَّشْرِand the resurrectionوَالْحِسَابِand the reckoningوَالْمِيزَانِand the scaleوَالْجَنَّةِand Paradiseوَالنَّارِand the Fire

such as the gathering and the resurrection, the reckoning and the scale, and Paradise and the Fire.

وَيَرْجِعُAnd refersتَفْصِيلُthe detailing ofهَذِهِtheseالْعُلُومِsciencesوَبَيَانُهَاand their clarificationوَذِكْرُand the mentioning ofالْأَحَادِيثِthe hadithsوَالْآثَارِand reportsالْمُتَعَلِّقَةِrelatedبِهَاto themإِلَىtoالْوَاعِظِthe preacherوَالْمُذَكِّرِand the reminder

The detailing of these sciences, their clarification, and the mentioning of the hadiths and reports related to them refer back to the preacher and the reminder.

أُسْلُوبُThe style ofالْقُرْآنِthe Quranالْكَرِيمِthe Nobleفِيinعَرْضِpresentingالْعُلُومِthe sciencesالْقُرْآنِيَّةِQuranic

The style of the Noble Quran in presenting the Quranic sciences:

وَقَدْAnd hasجَاءَتْcomeهَذِهِtheseالْعُلُومُsciencesفِيinالْقُرْآنِthe Quranالْكَرِيمِthe Noble

These sciences have come in the Noble Quran

عَلَىuponطَرِيقَةِthe method ofالْعَرَبِthe Arabsالْأَوَّلِينَthe earliestلَاnotعَلَىuponمَنْهَجِthe methodology ofالْعُلَمَاءِthe scholarsالْمُتَأَخِّرِينَthe later ones

upon the method of the earliest Arabs, not upon the methodology of the later scholars.

فَلَمْSo it did notيَلْتَزِمْadhereفِيinآيَاتِthe verses ofالْأَحْكَامِrulingsطَرِيقَةَto the method ofالْإِيجَازِconcisenessوَالِاخْتِصَارِand brevityكَمُؤَلِّفِيlike the authors ofالْمُتُونِthe textsالْفِقْهِيَّةِjurisprudential

In the verses of rulings, it did not adhere to the method of conciseness and brevity like the authors of jurisprudential texts,

وَلَاnorطَرِيقَةَto the method ofتَنْقِيحِrefiningالْحُدُودِthe definitionsوَالْقُيُودِand restrictionsكَمَاasيَفْعَلُهُdoes itالْأُصُولِيُّونَthe jurisprudential theorists

nor to the method of refining definitions and restrictions as the jurisprudential theorists do.

وَقَدْAnd hasالْتَزَمَadheredفِيinآيَاتِthe verses ofالْجَدَلِdebateوَالْمُخَاصَمَةِand contentionإِيرَادَto bringingالْأَدِلَّةِthe evidenceالْمَشْهُورَةِfamousالْمُسَلَّمَةِacceptedوَالْبَرَاهِينِand the proofsالْخِطَابِيَّةِrhetoricalلَاnotتَنْقِيحَrefiningالْبَرَاهِينِthe proofsوَتَقْسِيمَهَاand dividing themعَلَىuponطَرِيقَةِthe method ofالْمَنْطِقِيِّينَthe logicians

In the verses of debate and contention, it adhered to bringing famous, accepted evidence and rhetorical proofs, not refining proofs and dividing them upon the method of the logicians.

وَلَمْAnd it did notيُرَاعِobserveفِيinالِانْتِقَالِthe transitionمِنْfromمَقْصِدٍa purposeإِلَىtoآخَرَanotherوَمِنْand fromمَوْضُوعٍa subjectإِلَىtoمَوْضُوعٍsubjectآخَرَanotherتِلْكَthatالْمُنَاسَبَةَappropriatenessالَّتِيwhichيُرَاعِيهَاobserves itالْأُدَبَاءُthe litterateursالْمُتَأَخِّرُونَthe later ones

In transitioning from one purpose to another, and from one subject to another subject, it did not observe that appropriateness which the later litterateurs observe;

بَلْratherأَلْقَىit castعَلَىuponعِبَادِهِHis servantsمَاwhatرَآهُHe saw itمُهِمّاًimportantسَوَاءٌwhetherكَانَit wasمُقَدَّماًput forwardأَوْorمُؤَخَّراًput back

rather, it cast upon His servants what He saw as important, whether it was put forward or put back.
