وَمِثَالُAnd the exampleذَلِكَof thatكَمَاasقَالَsaidبَعْضُsome ofالْحُكَمَاءِthe wiseالْعَارِفِينَ:gnostics:
And the example of that, as some of the wise gnostics said:
«يَوْمَ"On the dayأَنْthatبَدَأَbeganالنَّاسُthe peopleيَحْكُمُونَgoverningقَوَاعِدَthe rules ofالتَّجْوِيدِTajweed
"On the day that people began to govern the rules of Tajweed
وَيُصَحِّحُونَand correctالْحُرُوفَthe letters,حُرِمُواthey were deprived ofالتِّلَاوَةَthe reverent recitationالْخَاشِعَةَofلِلْقُرْآنِthe Noble Quran,الْكَرِيمِ،and from
and correct the letters, they were deprived of the reverent recitation of the Noble Quran,
وَمِنْand fromيَوْمِthe dayأَنْthatبَدَأَbeganالْمُفَسِّرُونَthe commentatorsيَشُقُّونَsplittingالشَّعْرَةَthe hairفِيinالتَّأْوِيلِinterpretationوَالتَّوْجِيهِand guidance,
and from the day that commentators began splitting hairs in interpretation and guidance,
أَصْبَحَbecame"عِلْمُ"the science ofالتَّفْسِيرِ"interpretation"غَرِيباًstrange,قَلِيلَlittleالْوُجُودِ».in existence."
"the science of interpretation" became strange and rarely found."

[The phenomenon of repetition in Quranic stories:]
وَالْقَصَصُAnd the storiesالَّتِيthatجَاءَتْcameفِيinالْقُرْآنِthe Quranمَرَّاتٍtimesوَكَرَّاتٍ،and repetitions,
And the stories that came in the Quran repeatedly and frequently,
هِيَareقِصَّةُthe story ofخَلْقِthe creation ofآدَمَAdamمِنَfromالطِّينِ،clay,
are the story of the creation of Adam from clay,
وَسُجُودُand the prostration ofالْمَلَائِكَةِthe angelsلَهُ،to him,وَاسْتِكْبَارُand the arrogance ofالشَّيْطَانِSatanعَنْهُ،regarding it,
and the prostration of the angels to him, and the arrogance of Satan regarding it,
وَلَعْنُهُand his curseوَطَرْدُهُand expulsionلِأَجْلِهِ،for that reason,وَسَعْيُهُand his endeavorمِنْfromذَاكَthenفِيinإِغْوَاءِmisleadingبَنِيthe children ofآدَمَAdamوَإِضْلَالِهِمْand leading them astray,
and his being cursed and expelled for that, and his endeavor since then in misleading the children of Adam and leading them astray,
وَقَصَصُand the stories ofمُحَاجَّةِthe argumentation ofنُوحٍ،Noah,وَهُودٍ،Hud,وَصَالِحٍ،Saleh,وَإِبْرَاهِيمَAbraham,وَلُوطٍLot,وَشُعَيْبٍand Shuaibمَعَwithشُعُوبِهِمْtheir peoplesوَأَقْوَامِهِمْand tribes
and the stories of the argumentation of Noah, Hud, Saleh, Abraham, Lot, and Shuaib with their peoples and tribes
فِيinتَوْحِيدِthe monotheism ofاللَّهِAllah- تَعَالَى -- the Most High -وَالْأَمْرِand commandingبِالْمَعْرُوفِgoodوَالنَّهْيِand forbiddingعَنِevil,الْمُنْكَرِevil,وَاسْتِكْبَارِهَاand their arroganceوَطُغْيَانِهَاand tyranny,
regarding the monotheism of Allah - the Most High - and commanding the right and forbidding the wrong, and their arrogance and tyranny,
وَإِدْلَائِهَاand their putting forthبِشُبُهَاتٍof feebleرَكِيكَةٍsuspicions,وَرُدُودِand the responses ofالْأَنْبِيَاءِthe prophets- عَلَيْهِمُ- upon themالصَّلَوَاتُbe the blessingsالتَّسْلِيمَاتُ -and the greetings -عَلَيْهَاto them,
and their putting forth of feeble suspicions, and the responses of the prophets - upon them be blessings and greetings - to them,
وَنُزُولِand the descent ofعَذَابِthe punishment ofاللَّهِAllah- تَعَالَى -- the Most High -وَنِقَمِهِand His wrathعَلَىuponالْأَشْقِيَاءِthe wretched,وَظُهُورِand the appearance ofنُصْرَةِthe victory ofاللَّهِAllah- تَعَالَى -- the Most High -وَتَأْيِيدِهِand His supportفِيinحَقِّfavor ofالْأَنْبِيَاءِthe prophetsوَالْأَتْبَاعِ،and the followers,
and the descent of the punishment of Allah - the Most High - and His wrath upon the wretched, and the appearance of the victory of Allah - the Most High - and His support in favor of the prophets and followers,
وَقَصَصِand the stories ofسَيِّدِنَاour masterمُوسَىMoses- عَلَيْهِ- upon himالسَّلَامُ -be peace -مَعَwithفِرْعَوْنَPharaohوَمَلَإِهِ،and his chiefs,
and the stories of our master Moses - upon him be peace - with Pharaoh and his chiefs,
وَسُفَهَاءِand the foolish ones ofبَنِيthe children ofإِسْرَائِيلَ،Israel,وَمُكَابَرَتِهِمْand their obstinacyلَهُ،toward him,وَعِقَابِand the punishment ofاللَّهِAllah- تَعَالَى -- the Most High -لِأُولَئِكَfor thoseالتَّعُسَاءِwretched people
and the foolish ones of the children of Israel, and their obstinacy toward him, and the punishment of Allah - the Most High - for those wretched people
وَتَرْكِهِمْand leaving themيَتِيهُونَwanderingفِيinالْأَرْضِ،the earth,وَظُهُورِand the appearance ofتَأْيِيدَاتِthe supports ofاللَّهِAllah- تَعَالَى -- the Most High -مَتَتَالِيَةًconsecutivelyلِنَجِيِّهِfor His confidantوَكَلِيمِهِand interlocutor- عَلَيْهِ- upon himالسَّلَامُ.be peace.
and leaving them wandering in the earth, and the appearance of consecutive supports from Allah - the Most High - for His confidant and interlocutor - upon him be peace.
