وَالْحِرْصِ،

And it has been established to the humble servant that their verbal distortion was only in the translation of the Torah and what runs its course, not in the origin of the Torah, and this is the statement of Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both.

As for meaning-based distortion, it is an expression of corrupt interpretations and carrying the verses to other than their intended meanings with force and deviation from the intent of the path.

1 - Among them: That the difference between the religious dissolute person and the disbelieving stubborn rejecter is considered in every religion, and the disbeliever was threatened with eternity in the Fire and the painful punishment, and it established for the dissolute person his exit from the Fire by the intercession of the prophets and messengers, and explicit text came in every religion with that in the name of religiosity with that religion, so that was established in the Torah for the Jews
