Wonders of reminding about death and what is after it:
وَمِنْAnd amongغَرَائِبِwondersفَنِّof the artالتَّذْكِيرِof remindingبِالْمَوْتِabout deathوَمَاand whatبَعْدَهُ،is after it,
And among the wonders of the art of reminding about death and what is after it,
تِلْكَare thoseالْآيَاتُnoble versesالْكَرِيمَةُthatالَّتِيgatherتَجْمَعُthe conditionsأَحْوَالَof the Resurrectionالْقِيَامَةِfor example,مَثَلًا،and thereforeوَلِذَاit was reportedوَرَدَin the Hadith:فِيWhoeverالْحَدِيثِ:is pleased
those noble verses which gather the conditions of the Resurrection for example, and therefore it was reported in the Hadith:
"مَنْ"Whoeverسَرَّهُis pleasedأَنْthatيَنْظُرَhe looksإِلَىatيَوْمِthe Dayالْقِيَامَةِof Resurrectionكَأَنَّهُas if heرَأَىsees itعَيْنٍ،with his eye,فَلْيَقْرَأْ:then let him read:
"Whoever is pleased that he looks at the Day of Resurrection as if he sees it with his eye, then let him read:
{إِذَا{Whenالشَّمْسُthe sunكُوِّرَتْ}is wound round and lost its light}
{When the sun is wound round and lost its light}
{إِذَا{Whenالسَّمَاءُthe skyانْفَطَرَتْ}is cleft asunder}
{When the sky is cleft asunder}
{إِذَا{Whenالسَّمَاءُthe skyانْشَقَّتْ}is split asunder}
{When the sky is split asunder}

وَمِنْAnd amongغَرَائِبِwondersعِلْمِof the scienceالْأَحْكَامِof rulingsتِلْكَare thoseالْآيَاتُnoble versesالْكَرِيمَةُthatالَّتِيincludeتَشْتَمِلُthe clarificationعَلَىof limitsبَيَانِand the designationالْحُدُودِof specificوَتَعْيِينِsituationsالْأَوْضَاعِlike designatingالْخَاصَّةِone hundred lashesكَتَعْيِينِfor the punishmentمِئَةِof illegal sexual intercourse,جَلْدَةٍand designatingفِيthree menstrual cyclesحَدِّor three periods of purityالزِّنَا،for the waiting periodوَتَعْيِينِof a divorced woman,ثَلَاثِand designatingحَيْضَاتٍthe sharesأَوْof inheritancesثَلَاثَةِetc.
And among the wonders of the science of rulings are those noble verses that include the clarification of limits and the designation of specific situations like designating one hundred lashes for the punishment of illegal sexual intercourse, and designating three menstrual cycles or three periods of purity for the waiting period of a divorced woman, and designating the shares of inheritances etc.

وَمِنْAnd amongغَرَائِبِwondersالْجَدَلِof Quranicالْقُرْآنِيِّdialecticتِلْكَare thoseالْآيَاتُnoble versesالْكَرِيمَةُin whichالَّتِيthe replyيَرِدُcomesفِيهَاin a strangeالْجَوَابُeloquent manner,عَلَىcutting offطَرِيقَةٍdoubtغَرِيبَةٍand refutingبَلِيغَةٍ،falsehoodيَقْطَعُwith the most eloquentالشُّبْهَةَways and strongestوَيَدْحَضُmethods,الْبَاطِلَor clarifyingبِأَبْلَغِthe conditionالْوُجُوهِof a groupوَأَقْوَىfrom those groupsالْأَسَالِيبِ،with a clearأَوْsensory example,يُبَيِّنُlike His sayingحَالَ- Exalted is He -:فَرِيقٍ{Their likenessمِنْis as the likenessتِلْكَof the oneالْفِرَقِwho kindledبِمِثَالٍa fire}حِسِّيٍّor statingوَاضِحٍ،explicitlyكَقَوْلِهِthe ugliness- تَعَالَى -:of worshipping{مَثَلُهُمْidols and statues,كَمَثَلِand clarifyingالَّذِيthe great differenceاسْتَوْقَدَbetween the Creatorنَارًا}and the created,أَوْand the Ownerيَرِدُand the ownedالتَّصْرِيحُwith wonderfulبِشَنَاعَةِimpressive examples,عِبَادَةِor mentioningالْأَصْنَامِthe nullificationوَالْأَوْثَانِ،...وَبَيَانُ...الْفَارِقِ...الْعَظِيمِ...بَيْنَ...الْخَالِقِ...وَالْمَخْلُوقِ...وَالْمَالِكِ...وَالْمَمْلُوكِ...بِأَمْثِلَةٍ...عَجِيبَةٍ...مُؤَثِّرَةٍ،...أَوْ...يَذْكُرُ...حَبِطَ...
And among the wonders of Quranic dialectic are those noble verses in which the reply comes in a strange eloquent manner, cutting off doubt and refuting falsehood with the most eloquent ways and strongest methods, or clarifying the condition of a group from those groups with a clear sensory example, like His saying - Exalted is He -: {Their likeness is as the likeness of the one who kindled a fire} or stating explicitly the ugliness of worshipping idols and statues, and clarifying the great difference between the Creator and the created, and the Owner and the owned with wonderful impressive examples, or mentioning the nullification...
