and that stones fall short of the rank of human perfection

فَكَيفَ

تَظَلُّ

can they remain

بِمَرْتَبَةِ

at the rank

الْأُلُوهِيَّةِ،

of divinity,

so how can they remain at the rank of divinity,

يَسْجُدُ

prostrated to

لَهَا

for them

وَيُتَوَجَّهُ

and turned towards

إِلَيْهَا!

them!

prostrated to and turned towards!

وَمِثْلُ

And like

هَذَا

this

الرَّدِّ

refutation

وَالتَّفْنِيدِ

and debunking

لِأُولَئِكَ

for those

الْمُشْرِكِينَ

polytheists

الَّذِينَ

who

كَانُوا

used to

يَعْتَقِدُونَ

believe

هَذِهِ

these

الْأَصْنَامَ

idols

آلِهَةً

gods

مَعْبُودَةً

worshiped

لِذَاتِهَا.

for themselves.

And like this refutation and debunking for those polytheists who used to believe these idols were gods worshiped for themselves.
