الْقَصَصُ
Storiesوَالْحَوَادِثُ
and eventsمَوْجُودٌ
are presentفِي
inالسُّنَّةِ
the noble Sunnahالْمُشَرَّفَةِ
- uponStories and events are present in the noble Sunnah
عَلَى
uponصَاحِبِهَا
its ownerالصَّلَاةُ
be blessingsوَالسَّلَامُ
and peaceupon its owner be blessings and peace
فَلَا
thereforeيَنْبَغِي
it is not fittingعِنْدَئِذٍ
at that timeمُعَالَجَةُ
to treatالنَّقْلِ
the transmissionوَالرِّوَايَةِ
and narrationعَنْ
fromأَهْلِ
the Peopleالْكِتَابِ
of the Bookso it is not fitting at that time to treat transmission and narration from the People of the Book
كَمِثْلِ
likeمَا
whatثَبَتَ
is establishedفِي
inالسُّنَّةِ
the authentic Sunnahالصَّحِيحَةِ
authenticعَنْ
regardingقَوْلِهِ
His sayingتَعَالَى
the Most Highlike what is established in the authentic Sunnah regarding His saying, the Most High
وَلَقَدْAnd indeed
فَتَنَّاWe tested
سُلَيْمَانَSolomon
وَأَلْقَيْنَاand We cast
عَلَىupon
كُرْسِيِّهِhis throne
جَسَدًاa body
ثُمَّthen
أَنَابَhe turned back in repentance
And We certainly tested Solomon and placed on his throne a body; then he returned [to God]
أَنَّ
thatذَلِكَ
thatمَحْمُولٌ
is understoodعَلَى
asتَرْكِ
leavingسُلَيْمَانَ
Solomon- عَلَيْهِ
- upon himالسَّلَامُ -
peace -لِقَوْلِ
saying"إِنْ
"Ifشَاءَ
Godاللَّهُ"
wills"that this is understood as Solomon - peace be upon him - omitting to say "If God wills"
وَأَنَّ
and thatالْمُؤَاخَذَةَ
the accountabilityكَانَتْ
wasعَلَى
forذَلِكَ
thatand that the accountability was for that reason
فَكَيْفَ
so howيَصِحُّ
is it correctأَنْ
thatنَذْكُرَ
we mentionقِصَّةَ
the storyصَخْرٍ
of Sakhrالْمَارِدِ
the rebellious devilمِنَ
fromالرِّوَايَاتِ
the Israeliteالْإِسْرَائِيلِيَّةِ
narrativesso how is it correct that we mention the story of Sakhr the rebellious devil from the Israelite narratives?

2- وَالْأَمْرُ
- And the secondالثَّانِي
matterهُوَ
isأَنَّ
that"الضَّرُورِيَّ
"that which is necessaryيَتَقَدَّرُ
is measuredبِقَدْرِ
by the measureالضَّرُورَةِ"
of necessity"2 - And the second matter is that "necessity is estimated according to its measure"
فَلَابُدَّ
so it is necessaryمِنْ
toمُلَاحَظَتِهِ
observe itso it is necessary to observe it
وَإِلْقَاءِ
and to castالْقَوْلِ
speechحَسَبَ
according toمُقْتَضَى
the requirementالتَّعْرِيضِ
of allusionوَضَرُورَتِهِ
and its necessityand to present speech according to the requirement of allusion and its necessity
حَتَّى
so thatيُمْكِنَ
it is possibleتَصْدِيقُهُ
to verify itبِشَهَادَةِ
by the testimonyالْقُرْآنِ
of the Quranالْكَرِيمِ
Nobleلَهُ
for itso that its verification is possible by the testimony of the Noble Quran for it
وَالْكَفُّ
and to refrainعَنِ
fromالزِّيَادَةِ
addingعَلَيْهِ
to itand to refrain from adding to it
[تَفْسِيرُ
[Exegesis ofالْقُرْآنِ
the Quranبِالْقُرْآنِ:]
by the Quran:][Interpreting the Quran with the Quran:]
وَهُنَاكَ
And hereنُكْتَةٌ
is a subtleدَقِيقَةٌ
pointلَابُدَّ
that mustمِنْ
beمَعْرِفَتِهَا
knownAnd here is a subtle point that must be known
وَهِيَ
which isأَنَّ
thatالْقُرْآنَ
the Quranالْكَرِيمَ
Nobleأَحْيَانًا
sometimesيَذْكُرُ
mentionsالْقِصَّةَ
the storyفِي
inمَوْضِعٍ
one placeبِالْإِجْمَالِ
brieflywhich is that the Noble Quran sometimes mentions the story briefly in one place
وَفِي
and inمَوْضِعٍ
another placeآخَرَ
anotherبِالتَّفْصِيلِ
in detailكَقَوْلِهِ
like His saying- تَعَالَى -:
- Most High -:and in another place in detail, like His saying - the Most High -:
قَالَHe said
إِنِّي"Indeed, I
أَعْلَمُknow
مَاwhat
لَاyou do
تَعْلَمُونَnot know."
"Indeed, I know that which you do not know."
ثُمَّThen
قَالَ:He said:
أَلَمْ"Did I not
أَقُلْsay
لَكُمْto you
إِنِّيthat I
أَعْلَمُknow
غَيْبَthe unseen
السَّمَاوَاتِof the heavens
وَالْأَرْضِand the earth
Then He said: "Did I not say to you that I know the unseen of the heavens and the earth
وَأَعْلَمُand I know
مَاwhat
تُبْدُونَyou reveal
وَمَاand what
كُنْتُمْyou were
تَكْتُمُونَconcealing?"
and I know what you reveal and what you used to conceal?"
فَهَذَا
So thisالْقَوْلُ
second statementالثَّانِي
secondهُوَ
isالْقَوْلُ
the statementالْأَوَّلُ
firstنَفْسُهُ
itselfبِنَوْعٍ
with a kindمِنَ
ofالتَّفْصِيلِ
detailSo this second statement is the first statement itself with a type of detail
فَيَتَيَسَّرُ
thus it becomes easyبِذَلِكَ
therebyتَفْسِيرُ
to interpretهَذَا
thisالْإِجْمَالِ،
brief partوَالتَّقَدُّمُ
and to proceedمِنْ
fromthus it becomes easy thereby to interpret this brief mention, and to proceed from
