وَجَاءَتْAnd cameبَعْضُsomeالسُّوَرِof the surahsالْأُخْرَىother
And some other surahs came
عَلَىuponطَرِيقِthe methodرَسَائِلِof the lettersالْعَرَبِof the Arabs
in the manner of the letters of the Arabs
مِنْwithoutدُونِregardingمُرَاعَاةِobservingشَيْءٍanythingآخَرَ،else,
without observing anything else,
كَأَنَّهَاas if itمُحَاوَرَةُis the dialogue ofالنَّاسِpeopleبَعْضُهُمْsome of themبِبَعْضٍwith others
as if it were the dialogue of people with one another
اللَّهُمَّexceptإِلَّاforالْخَوَاتِمَthe conclusionsلِلْكَلَامِof the speechالَّتِيwhichجَاءَتْcameعَلَىinالنَّمَطِthe styleالَّذِيwhichتَرَى.you see.
except for the concluding parts of the speech which came in the style that you see.
وَالسِّرُّAnd the secretفِيinذَلِكَthat
And the secret in that
أَنَّis thatأَصْلَthe originلُغَةِof the languageالْعَرَبِof the Arabs
is that the origin of the Arabic language
يُرَاعَىis observedفِيهَاin itالْوَقْفُthe pauseفِيatالْمَوْضِعِthe placeالَّذِيwhereيَنْتَهِيendsعَلَيْهِupon itالنَّفَسُthe breathمِنَfromالْكَلَامِthe speech
observes the pause at the place where the breath ends in speech
وَيَتَلَاشَىand fadesالنَّشَاطُthe energyفِيinالْامْتِدَادِthe extensionالصَّوْتِيِّ،of the voice,
and the energy fades in the vocal extension,
وَمِنْand fromهُنَاhereجَاءَتْcameالْآيَاتُthe versesعَلَىinهَذِهِthisالصُّورَةِ.form.
and hence the verses came in this form.
هَذَاThisمَاis whatفَتَحَopenedاللَّهُAllah- تَعَالَى -- the Most High -عَلَيَّto meفِيinهَذَاthisالْبَابِ،chapter,
This is what Allah - the Most High - bestowed upon me in this chapter,
وَاللَّهُand Allahأَعْلَمُknows bestبِالصَّوَابِ.what is correct.
and Allah knows best what is correct.
