وَجُلُّAndمَاwhatنُرِيدُwe wantقَوْلَهُto say
And the sum of what we want to say
إِنَّنَاis that weلَاdo notنُرِيدُwantالتَّعْرِيفَto introduceبِمُؤَلَّفَاتِthe works ofأَبِيAbuعُثْمَانَUthman
is that we do not want to introduce the works of Abu Uthman
الَّتِيwhichكَتَبَhave writtenلَهَاfor themالْخُلُودُ؛eternity;
which have attained eternity;
وَإِنَّمَاbut ratherنُرِيدُwe wantأَنْtoنَكُونَbeبِهَذَاby thisالْعَمَلِmodestالْمُتَوَاضِعِwork
rather, we want by this modest work
قَدْto haveأَكَّدْنَاconfirmedمِنanewجَدِيدٍ،anew,تَقْدِيرَنَاour appreciationلِلْأَدَبِfor the literature ofالْجَاحِظِيِّAl-Jahizوَفِكْرِهِ،and his thought,
to have confirmed anew our appreciation for Al-Jahiz's literature and thought,
وَأَنْand toنَكُونَhaveأَيْضاًalsoقَدِguidedاهْتَدَيْنَاourselvesإِلَىtoالسَّبِيلِthe correctالصَّحِيحِpathلِخِدْمَةِto serveالْفِكْرِ،thought,وَالْأَدَبِ،literature,وَالْحَضَارَةِ،civilization,وَالْإِنْسَانِ.and humanity.
and also to have found the right path to serve thought, literature, civilization, and humanity.
وَاللَّهُAnd Godوَلِيُّis the grantor ofالتَّوْفِيقِsuccess......
And God is the granter of success...
